Database diagrams on new release 18 not work
I installed SSMS 18.0 and cannot find Database diagrams folder. It is just missing. Where is the problem?

Please bring back database diagrams, it's a step down , we are already facing a lot of pressure to move from MSSQL to other open source database, and the removal of these crucial features justify that demands.

Looks like MS has removed that feature - as far as I am concerned this is a big leaps backwards. There is a fix release (version 18.1) available. I have installed this but am experiencing problems dragging from the Object Explorer window to either a query window or to a database diagram.
As far as I am concerned version 18.1 is not useable and I am going to go back to an earlier version of SSMS

So the one and only graphical model design tool has been scrapped. Fantastic, let's just have this big data sh*t for everyone and forget about OLTP systems.

it was one of the few positive points that kept my dev team from moving on to another tool.
im sorry to see the dev team just does what they think they like without asking the community.* lets remove the tools to design large scale apps, who gives a F*
there is no way in **** that the community would just vote to remove one of the most useful tools in SSMS.

The harm the decision to remove diagrams has caused is fairly severe to myself and clearly many others. An explanation for this move would be good to hear. I, of course, vote to bring diagrams back.

why do you remove the database diagram at last version? i can't extract the model of a database of and old application and its urgent.

How the **** are you supposed to design large scale databases now Microsoft?

They only reason this tool was disliked by some people was because of a very simple UX problem. People hate to click inadvertently on it while trying to open the database's table tree. The best solution would just have been to move it somewhere else in the list, not to remove it!
It is still useful to many people... Bring it back, and put it after "Security" folder.

Microsoft, you have been slowly and steadily growing into my esteem for the last few years. Until now. WTF, guys. WTF were you thinking. You have broken a key feature of a product used by many professionals, and to add insult to injury, you provide absolutely no justification.

This is a serious issue. The diagrammer was a valuable and useful too. I am, quite frankly, taken aback MS would simply remove it. WTF? Seriously, are you letting people that don't use SSMS for a living make these decisions? No SSMS 18 for me. Staying with 17 until you fix it. It's broken.
