Dark theme for SQL Server 2017 SSMS is missing.
There is no plan to invest on the dark theme for SSMS.

Every time a company decides (for whatever reason) that a product doesn't need or shouldn't have a dark theme, there is ALWAYS a lot of feedback critisising that decision. People not only want it; They need it. Eyestrain is a real problem. Just look at the Unity3d discussion that has been roaring for the last 5-10 or so years, tens of thousands of upvotes to please make the dark theme available.
Dark mode is not up for debate, it's not only desired by many, regarded as prettier and more comfortable to the eyes; it's a requirement for those that work in dark areas or suffer from eyestrain. There are literally no good reasons to exclude a dark theme.
Please add dark theme support for Object Explorer, Registered Servers, and query results. Is it not supported yet because you have a captive audience? No perceived effect on product sales?
Please add dark theme to help protect dba's eyes!

Please add a complete dark mode. I use dark mode in Outlook, Skype, Visual Studio, ...

Is SSMS, the red headed step child product?

@Admin - any chance of some feedback on this as to likelihood of implementation?
Dark Theme should be standard by now, and now that Windows 10 has a system dark theme, this application should observe that also.
You guys are 90% of the way already done with this. Just iron out the buggy parts! I am using the hacked mode all day long. The main annoying part is the popup submenus text being too dark. This is a monster feature. SSMS has been feature complete for most users for years now except for this. Finish it and achieve feature parity with Visual Studio!
Please add Dark Theme. I use this in Visual Studio all day long. And Teams. And Outlook.

Please, please, please improve the Dark Theme! White backgrounds hurt my eyes! :(
A nice alternative would be to give us a better SQL Server extension in VSCode which already has a nice dark theme.

Kindly improve your dark theme
As a follow up to my other post, please consider that this is kind of a big deal to people with some vision/neurological problems (anything that causes photophobia).
I have a couple of those problems, and this is kind of an accessibility issue for me. As I mentioned before, just supporting what already works would go a long way.
Speaking of which, please consider adding the dark them as a choice to view these pages as you have done for a lot of your other sites.
Wow... So I just found another item that links here, and then this links (kind of) to yet another item.
If you make a suggestion to upvote another item, please consider using a hyperlink. Just posting the number makes it a pain to get to the ticket.
There is a SSMS bug when importing Settings to get a Dark Theme.
Please upvote this to get it fixed: https://feedback.azure.com/forums/908035-sql-server/suggestions/35057257-dark-theme-ignored-in-object-explorer
Dark theme Added.
Available two ways:
1 the hack: https://www.sqlshack.com/setting-up-the-dark-theme-in-sql-server-management-studio/
2 the Import Settings way: https://blogs.sentryone.com/aaronbertrand/making-ssms-pretty-my-dark-theme/

Visual studio standard and code support dark mode. Windows 10 has it as a built in option but yet there is no plan to do it for SSMS? WTF!
