Data Explorer - when sharing queries, check to see if the same query already exists

When sharing queries from Data Explorer, it would be useful if a check could be done to see if the exact query already exists and warn the user of the same. Allow the user to continue to publish or cancel and use the existing query.

Thanks, this is valuable feedback.

We could probably check for the existence of another query published by the same user, with the same query name. At least, warn the user of this, yet we don’t prevent the user from saving queries with duplicated names.

Will keep this into account for the next round of Sharing improvements.

Thanks,
M.

As we previously mentioned this is helpful feedback. Our current model only shares a copy and the shared queries don’t have an identity the same way the queries do, therefore we don’t restrict the naming. I will resolve this as by design and we will incorporate the request for this feature into the planning discussions. Thank you!
