SSMS debugger should show the contents of TSQL table variables
Inability to see the contents of TSQL table-valued parameters or local table variables within the Auto/Local pane seriously impedes the ability to debug TSQL code that depends on them.
There are workarounds, for example this one...
...but they are tedious and tend to "eject" the developer from the current "mind-frame" exactly at the moment this ejection is most harmful - when trying to understand a complex bug.

The debugging feature in SSDT (for Visual Studio 2017) doesn't seem to offer a way to see the contents of a table. The 'locals' window shows '(table)', which is a great hint. But, if I copy and paste from it (in the hope that it will yield the tabular contents when copied via the clipboard), all I get at the far end is the text, '(table)', back again.
I use VS2019 enterprise and SSDT for debug stored proc. but still can't see the content or temp table either table variable.
Please use Debugging feature in SSDT. TSQL Debugging has been deprecated for now.
