SSMS error with SHOWPLAN_TEXT

When you enable the parameter "SET SHOWPLAN_TEXT ON; " The first query execution goes well and produces a query plan in text format, but the second one causes an error at the level of "mscorlib "

It works well if you run query in below sequence:
Entire code should be executed together

        SET SHOWPLAN_TEXT ON
        GO
SELECT orderid, custid, empid, shipperid, orderdate, filler
        FROM dbo.Orders
        WHERE orderid = 280885
        GO
        SET SHOWPLAN_TEXT OFF
        GO

When I use SET SHOWPLAN_TEXT ON or SET SHOWPLAN_ALL ON in SSMS 17.4, not even the first query goes well. I immediately get the error: input string was not in a correct format (mscorlib). When will this be fixed?
