Hyperlink in subscription email has bad characters
For specific subscriptions, text in the subscription hyperlink is overwritten by "! " which breaks the link. This issue is now holding up rollout of Reporting Services to production.

There is no attachment to this issue. Can you please attach RDL file and example of output?<=-=Mar 8 2006 9:06AM=-=>
I have added an attachment with the rdl as requested. I have also added the stored parameters from the database and how they are rendered in the url in the email by the email delivery extension where the bug occurs.<=-=Mar 20 2006 11:36AM=-=>
I have applied the CTP SP1 – however, Reporting Services 9.00.2040.00 still generates subscription emails with breaks in the hyperlink.<=-=Mar 28 2006 2:36PM=-=>
This seems like a coruption after RS sends the email. Can you please have RS drop the email to the local file system and see if the file is corrupt.
To do this in the RSReportServer.config file set SendUsing to 1 and set the SmtpPickupDirectory to a local directory. If the file is not corrupt we will need to work with Microsoft CSS to try and understand why it is getting corrupted after it is sent.
Also please note what SMTP server you are using to relay the message.<=-=Mar 29 2006 1:13PM=-=>
You were right about where the suspicion that the email may be corrupted when sent and not when generated by RS. The SMTP server used is on the same Windows 2003 Server box as SSRS. I have done the following:
1) I have set up a new subscription and confirmed that the hyperlink in the email is corrupt
2) I have changed the settings for RS to drop the email into a local file as per above comment and restarted RS
3) I have verified that the hyperlink in the local email is not corrupt
The emails are attached.
Based on this observation, can you advise how to proceed with troubleshooting?<=-=Apr 5 2006 12:36PM=-=>
At this point you should contact Microsoft Customer support. They will be able to have the issue looked at by the Windows server team.
