Hi, I would like to be able to pin Cost alerts to the dashboard. That's all. That'd be awesome!1 vote
When manually generating a "last month" report of costs in a subscription, have selected to "Group by Resource Name".
While the visual/chart appears correct, the export (to excel) does NOT Group by Resource Name. Instead, all individual resources are listed.
This worked up until last Feb (2/16/2020).1 vote
When you select group by resource you get a view that shows resource type, resource group etc which is great for providing itemised billing for our clients. It would be great if we could add additional columns to show the units of measure and the usage amount in this same view1 vote
Reservation reporting - to show the cost savings for each reservation. Customers can see their costs but many have asked to have the cost savings calculated for each reservation purchased.1 vote
Me pusieron por error un servicio que no uso y ahora después de 2 años no puedo pagarlo y tengo mi aplicación fuera de servicio.1 vote
Using the usage API for example, I want to get billing data for the last few months from today (x number of months).1 vote
If they are local, then this data seems to be ~20 hours old.
If they are UTC, then it's ~10 hours old.
It's quite a big difference, could you tell me on the chart, perhaps when I hover over the x axis?
Even better, you could give me the choice - UTC or local1 vote
All dates are in UTC. We’ll make this more obvious in the portal.
We can also look at a setting that allows you to see data in local time, but keep in mind those times won’t map to calendar periods, which might look confusing.
Separate from this, we’re also looking at showing when the last data snapshot was taken.
The new feature "Drill into the costs for your resources" is amazing!
Would you mind add links between the Databricks resource cost and its managed resources.
I am thinking about Databricks clusters VM and network resources located in the Databricks managed resource group.
Would be good to know if its better to use reserved instances or 10*5 running time.1 vote
I think the cost analysis should provide:
- costs/month/ressource ir order for the analysis.
- A balance showing costs + payments in order to know the real debt.
- An explanation of the costs in every ressource… since there are many ressources created internally by Azure. Even though they have low cost.1 vote
Currently I can only export PNG/Excel report from Azure portal. It would be helpful if we can have same/better feature in scheduled report & API.
The use case is resource owner want to have a way to get email report for their particular resource usage through email without visiting Azure portal.
It would be nice the scheduled report can generate email with either a png picture or a html page showing the report, with a link to go to the Azure Portal report.1 vote
ability to send an email (group of people, example stakeholders) ) on a specific day the ongoing subscription cost
ability to send by email on a specific day (recurring example every friday) the ongoing subscription cost.1 vote
Ability to view costs of all subscriptions or select several in cost analysis view1 vote
I would like to be able to see a drill down of my monthly costs horizontally by subscription then by resource group then by resource type. Plus, the ability to see the variance from the previous month and add a comment to explain the difference.
Currently, I have to export the costs to Excel and pivot there and then add more data each month.
The ability to save this to a dashboard would also be super helpful.1 vote
I'm experimenting with different configurations to see the cost impact. I would like to be able to add a little bit of text to the view, to remind which configuration I was using on each day.
These annotations could appear as mouseovers on the chart. They need appear only for the scope & view & date that I attached them to.1 vote
we need an API that maps the current cost of resources in Azure.
I'm not talking about my consumed costs, more from the cost for a particular resource. (Microsoft pricing catalog)
This would make our sales easier to pass on good cost estimates to customers.
With this API we could develop better price calculators for CSP partners
Exports support to ADLS V1 and ADLSV2.1 vote
Thanks for the feedback. Let us know how important this is for you by voting it up.
Have the ability to deny a user the ability to view/manage cost management. If I understand correctly, enabling DA,AO in the EA enables Cost Management data to be accessible globally within the EA. Access is then controlled closer to the resources by Azure Roles. In the situation where an external vendor is given access to a subscription to build a service and say has Contributor role, it would be good to be able to exclude those users from seeing any cost/billing information.1 vote
Makes sense. For now, either use a service-specific role, like VM Contributor, or create a custom role for vendors you don’t want to have access to cost.
I still can't tell what it would have cost me if I'd kept the virtual machine I set up going.
I was going to give this feedback in their questionnaire and it told me:
"Thanks for your interest, but you’ve already responded to this survey. We appreciate your feedback."
I hadn't. So your systems really need better user testing!
Thanks for the feedback! We’ll keep this in mind. Let us know if there’s anything in particular you’d like to see.
I would like to have several cost analysis widgets on my dashboard. But currently the title of these is not very clear (it just says subscription: Cost Analysis). I would like to be able to add a title to my Cost Analysis when adding the Cost Analysis to my Dashboard.1 vote
Absolutely! This is a must-have!
