View code behind View and Stored Procedure and Functions (new Object Type)
The Data Catalog would provide the code executed to create the View and Stored Procedure. The addition of the Functions Objects Type will enrich the data catalog value.

Support dynamic data masking for data preview
How to treat sensitive data? It would be nice to implement dynamic data masking or encryption for sensitive columns (and also custom permissions to see unmasked data).

Azure Data Catalog as the Metastore for Hive
In, AWS Glue Data Catalog acts as the Metastore for Hive, so there is no need for Azure SQL Database for hosting a hive metastore. So AWS was able to form a complete ecosystem that interacts well with EMR or Any other Compute like Athena, databricks, glue jobs, etc. Azure also needs to adopt the same strategy to tie the various Big Data computes together with the data catalog

API support to extract schema/preview/profiling info from data source
ADC Rest API should have option to extract schema/columns/preview/profiling info from data source/asset automatically like registration tool.

Generate Reports On the Basis of Tags or including tags
Requirement: I am looking for a possible way to generate some kind of output(report) on the basis of tags in form of excel or CSV or SQL table. So that it becomes easier to pass the reports to higher authorities(managers).
Actual Need: It is not possible for everyone to go to each asset and check the marked tags one by one.
So any solution or functionality that can generate some kind of report or pivot data on the basis of the tag is really helpful for Catalog users.I have voted for a similar type of issue: https://feedback.azure.com/forums/906052-data-catalog/suggestions/32317552-export-search-results-to-csv

Index data in tape libraries
Add tape libraries on-premises as a data source to index. Nice way for ADC to shine making the last long mile of data visible and accessible to data scientists/statisticians, instead of through support tickets

sharing a single asset
A feature I'm looking for is the ability to share a single asset via URL with end-users. Current, there is no way to send a user a direct link to an asset; for purposes of, you might be interested in consuming asset x. Even a URL copy button on each asset would be enough.
The search query string doesn't accomplish what I'm describing above.
If you want to take it one step further, sharing multiple datasets would be an excellent enhancement.

include Deltalake parquet files
Databricks enables the use of deltalake parquet format for storing datamart/DWH tables. It should be referenced in the catalog too
