  1. add the possibility to approve updates

Now, the only thing you can do is allow only ALL updates from one or more categories. We like to have more control over which updates will be installed. Basically the same as you can do in WSUS by approving or declining specific updates.

  2. OMS Gateway as the updates repository

Is it possible for updates to be downloaded on the OMS Gateway server and forwarded to clients?
I do not want to use the WSUS server as a repository.
I would like OMS Gateway server to connect directly to update.microsoft.com and download the required update itself.

  3. Fix "week days" scheduling so that it sticks

When I choose "week days" as my scheduling option, it only works for the first run of the schedule. The next scheduled date takes on the same day of the month as the first run, and when I go to edit the schedule, it has reverted to "Month days". This means I must continually check on my schedules and adjust them after each run. Please fix. Thanks.

  5. Ability to schedule the exact reboot time

In our update installation process, we need to communicate to our clients as precisely as possible the time when the servers will be offline (rebooting).

Right now, we start installing updates 30 minutes before the agreed upon time and delay rebooting the servers until that time. We would love to be able to do this using Update Management.

  6. Allow us the ability to deny or clear out a update not reporting correctly

I am having an issue which keeps showing missing KB2267602 , which are defender updates but they are old and new definitions are already installed. Also getting 2 hosts with Intel - System - 10/3/2017 12:00:00 AM - 11.7.0.1045, and also 3 machines with Microsoft driver update for MS Publisher Imagesetter. If there was a way to deny these thru Azure it would be great as it never shows the machines up to date.

  8. computer group

Increase the computer group limitations for Update Management. Patching a few hundred to a few thousand machines with this 100 machine limit is not very scalable.

Thanks for the feedback. We support groups up to 500 computers large in the Azure Portal, but we hear that isn’t enough and we can look at increasing this up to “a few thousand”. Please feel free to post your desired maximum group size in this item so we have a good sense of what the requirements are.

  10. Compliance report in Update Management

There is no option to Export the data in Automation account Update Management page where we see the total count of compliant and No machines, There should be option to export detailed report which has individual servers Compliance Status as the patch deployment output is nothing to do with Compliance report.

  11. Enable Update approval

It would be great to have a option to approve / decline updates directly in the Update Management UI

  12. Compliant/non-compliant servers tile on Dashboard

We can pin a tile that links directly to an Automation Account's Update Management pane but it provides no useful data. It would be nice to have a server compliance dashboard tile much in the same fashion as the Intune one.

Thanks for the valid suggestion. Your feedback is now open for the user community to upvote & comment on. This allows us to effectively prioritize your request against our existing feature backlog and also gives us insight into the potential impact of implementing the suggested feature.

  13. Dynamic Update Deployments on premises

The Dynamic Update Deployments feature which is in preview is only able to respect Azure systems. As hybrid is the new normal, this needs to be extended to a hybrid approach. It makes no sense to offer saved searches and dynamic groups which are not respecting changes in those groups. Today deployments will fail if any changes occours in the groups with the focus on on premises machines.

  14. Show number/details of Successful updates deployed

The current update management screen for the summary of a previous update deployment only shows Failed/Not Attempted/Not Selected against the list of updates that were installed during the window.

For reporting purposes it would be useful to have another column 'Successful' which would show the amount of times the update was installed.

  15. Ability to refresh the 'Update Management' blade.

I cannot be sure that the window I'm looking at is up-to-date. A refresh button would give me confidence in this.

  16. Do an immediate refresh of compliance data after update deployment (linux)

After a deployment/update job, the data for the compliance dashboard should be immediately updated - not have to wait for the next scheduled compliance check

  17. Schedule immediate compliance refresh function

I'd like to be able to schedule a refresh of compliance data (outstanding patches) whenever the next heartbeat occurs. Unless I'm missing something, the data can be somewhat stale and offers no easy way of getting it updated in a more timely fashion.

  19. Microsoft driver update for MS Publisher Color Printer

Please remove "Microsoft driver update for MS Publisher Color Printer" from the list of missing updates for Windows Server 2016 VMs. This was already an issue over a year ago in the old update management solution in OMS and is still not fixed.
I even opened a case REG:117050315683024 back then because that driver didn't even fit into the logic of the update script. The bug was fixed but the uninstallable update still remains to this day

  20. Ability to adjust Windows Update settings

    Hi,

I think it would be useful to be able to configure Windows Update settings through update management, control things like automatic reboot settings, working hours, action to take if users are logged on. I believe the OMS agent could set the relevant registry keys.
