  2. Why no datacenters in Middle East and Africa?

    Hi Microsoft,
I can’t help thinking that Microsoft is pursuing some sort of imperialist western agenda with the deployment of its worldwide Azure Datacenters! As an independent software developer based here in Dubai with clients right across Africa, The Middle East and the Sub-continent we currently have the choice of hosting in Western Europe (Amsterdam) which is between 6500km and 8000km away from our clients, or South East Asia (Singapore) 5000 to 11000kms away.
Guys it is time to realize that there is 2/5's of the world’s population nearby - let’s see something proactive in terms of datacenter deployment, and…

Microsoft is expanding on its existing investments in Africa by delivering Microsoft Cloud Services including Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics 365 directly from Datacenters located in Johannesburg and Cape Town South Africa. Initial availability is expected in 2018.

Stay tuned for more updates here https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/?v=17.14

  4. Create this new Azure region : Switzerland

Switzerland is a small country but it is one of the world’s strongest economies. Many swiss companies can't make the move to Azure because they do need to have theirs data inside the country.
Please create this new Azure region : Switzerland !
    Thanks.

Windows Azure is commercially available in the following 84 countries, and this is not one of them. Learn more here: http://www.windowsazure.com/en-us/pricing/faq/

We are adding more countries as we can, but in the meantime if you wish to use the service in an unsupported country, you’ll need to use one of several third party providers which front the Azure Subscriptions for organizations in unsupported countries. Just keep in mind that those providers are not MSFT so perform due-diligence to make sure any vendor you select is reputable.

    Thanks for understanding.

  6. Azure not available in Malawi

Malawi is not listed among countries in the Azure signup. It is therefore impossible to set up and/or use any Azure services. Please can we be added? We are on boarding as a Microsoft partner in a program where we expect to have massive adoption of Azure services

  8. provide Azure availibility in Gibraltar

Please provide Azure services availability in Gibraltar. Gibraltar as financial center does high value, a lot of big UK gaming companies are settled her. For me as a developer based here is hard to promote Microsoft solutions to potential clients while Microsoft solutions are not supported here. Many companies her are using Oracle solutions, it will make sense to catch the train here. It is the small country with big business here. It is bad, that MS is not supporting UK overseas territory, especially that one, that is member of EU as Special member state territory.

  11. Include Martinique and Guadeloupe

It would be great to include Martinique and Guadeloupe (both french overseas territories) in the Azure countries list. As they use specific phone prefix (+596 and +590) we're unable to sign up with the France +33 prefix.

  12. Register / Signup Microsoft Azure for Myanmar Region

    Hi Team,

I am from Myanmar country and currently Microsoft Azure did not official launch in Myanmar. Hence i cannot register / signup using Myanmar Phone Number, Address and Debit/Credit Card.
Due to limitation of Microsoft Azure, we need to choose other Cloud Service instead. Microsoft should consider Myanmar Region since Myanmar Country is quite open since past a few years back.

  14. Azure plataform, small business, brazilian location,

Dear MS, i'm simple enchanted with the azure plataform. As a 3 world businessman, i try to look forward and see big and small business sharing the same technology, on next years. can we think as fabien (open erp) and look forward? with all visual suít and etc... why we cant focus on small business, whoio needs technology too? i guarantee that, Microsoft will sell more Windows and office licenses than ever. Maybe small business ppl arent ready now, but they shall be on future, when a lot of developers will come with a lot of options for us............... idk, maybe…

  18. Describe fully what you mean by "Australia East" or "Australia South East" ? Sydney and Melbourne regions would be best!

You guys are very good with technology, but I think you should stay away from geography... i.e. between you and 2 other cloud providers from the US, you come up with 2-3 different and equally misleading meaning for Australia East and Australia South East ?

I know you learn geography doing wars, but just keep it simple for the rest of us please ?

Maybe simply naming them "Sydney region" or "Melbourne region" might solve the problem...

i.e., some of your specialists think Australia East is Brisbane, which might be right in the first place, in which case we tend…

  20. Add Seychelles in the list of supported countries for Azure

Seychelles is currently not in the list of supported countries for Azure, hence cannot benefit from the features currently available even for trial purposes. However, the certifications are available. This is causing constrains even for students who wish to pursue a career and use this platform for training purposes. Neighboring Islands such as Mauritius and Madagascar has the access, hence makes no sense in a regional point of view for Seychelles not to be included.
