Feature of testing if alert mail or message would be sent correctly in Azure Monitor.
When I create an alert rule in Azure Monitor to send an email, I want to test if the email would be sent and received correctly.
Now, it doesn't seem to have this feature in Azure Monitor.
So it is better for me if there is this feature.

+1 for an option to fire the alert without needing a condition to be met.
Please add a 'Test' button to the 'Manage Alert Rules' blade that will fire the 'Action' without evaluating the 'Condition'. Thanks

Is this not already there by virtue of the "Subscribed" property on the action group item?
I've previously added recipients to action groups and it is blank to begin with then it <appears> that when they receive the mail, this property appears.
I've only noticed this on email type action group recipients.
as far as checking the alert actually invokes the action group, I've created a separate action group with email addresses (controlled by me) from a few providers (hotmail, gmail etc...) and configured the alert rule to invoke this action group while under development.
I can then cause whatever the alert rule is monitoring for and assert that it's fired correctly.
Once it has, I redeploy the alert rule with the correct action group configured.
