  1. Inappropriate Pricing for Managed Services

First off, it's great to see how Azure as a platform developed and new features keep coming. However, while, in contrast to the competition, VM pricing is adequate, flexible and scalable, managed services are not.

Azure's competitive advantage are especially the managed services, offering a safe and straightforward configuration of the underlying systems. There is no doubt that managed services give the users and developers an added value. Developers don't want to "loose" time with redundant work that incurred building systems on top of IaaS. However, I don't see the proportion charging a multiple of the VMs prices for the…

  2. Allow native `HEALTHECK` as liveliness probe

Currently per https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/container-instances/container-instances-liveness-probe one have to create manually a liveliness probe despite the fact that dockerfile natively supports HEALTHECK directive.

  3. Add -user "" option for Azure Container Exec

Currently, az container exec doesn't seem to allow a user option, (whereas docker allows docker container exec -u "user").

  4. Allow for distinct/longer-lived DNS namespaces (container.[USER].westeurope.azurecontainer.io)

I can imagine some forms of abuse by people watching the container instance DNS namespace and snitching names, e.g. by mimicking previous content/APIs and waiting for people or machines to supply data.
It should be possible to protect against such an attack by registering long-living names which protect all shorter-lived subdomain names.

  6. Support AD integration for container instances

Support AD integration for container instances (so apps can windows auth)

What we would like to do, ultimately, is spin up containers on the fly to run TFS/VSTS Builds and then destroy them when done. We are getting close using VM's which start and stop, but there's a dependency on our TFS 2015 infrastructure which needs to use Windows authentication to register the agent. (Because it's TFS 2015 we can't use PAT token)

  7. Mount ACI file share volumes as read-only

Would like to create read-only volumes. Would be useful in conjunction with mounting subpaths within a share, so I could mount one folder as read-only input, and another folder as an output area.

  8. CLI support for git repo mounts

Currently we can only create git repo mounts from ARM templates. It would be great to do this from the Azure CLI, maybe with arguments like --gitrepo-repository and --gitrepo-mount-path
