  4. Allow subscription selection as part of URL to https://shell.azure.com/

It would be really nice if I could choose which subscription to work in as part of the URL for https://shell.azure.com/

As a CSP we often work with a number of different tenants/subscriptions. It would be very useful if we could use links that opens the relvant tenant/subscription. These links would improve documentation for our CSP customers.

    https://shell.azure.com/?tenantId=xxxx&subscriptionId=xxxxx

In the Azure portal it works well to specify a Tenant as follows:

    https://portal.azure.com/@<tenant>

    For example

    https://portal.azure.com/@mydomain.onmicrosoft.com

So having the same possibility with the https://shell.azure.com/ URL would be very nice ;-)

  7. Move the shell vertically to the side

Have the ability to move the shell to the right of the page vertically instead of the bottom. Sometimes, I need to navigate the portal and the shell at the same time and I have to continually move the shell up and down in order to see things in the portal.

  12. AzureCLI support for New-AzureRmOperationalInsightsAzureActivityLogDataSource

There is currently no equivalent for the below PowerShell commands:
    - New-AzureRmOperationalInsightsAzureActivityLogDataSource
    - Get-AzureRmOperationalInsightsWorkspace
    - Get-AzureRmOperationalInsightsDataSource
I'm sure there are more in this category, but those are the one I'm after. :)

  15. Make it work

I was trying learning platform and was stuck on a page https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/welcome-to-azure/4-create-a-vm?pivots=windows-cloud where I was supposed to create VM. The right side where I was supposed to type anything is not working. The only thing that works is restart and feedback buttons.

  16. Restore the ability to map a network drive to Azure File Storage

This used to be a feature in Cloud Shell. Then it disappeared sometime in the summer of 2018. Apparently it's something to do with the switch from windows to Linux.

If you go to Azure File Storage and click the ellipsis you can still get a snippet of code that is supposed to mount a Z drive to that File Share. Only it doesn't work any more.

I rasied a bug for it here:
    https://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/issues/8829#issuecomment-461560590

And got told it *was* a bug. Therefore could I request it as a new feature.
Which I am not sure makes total sense. But…

  20. make bash .profile file work in Cloud Shell

Although there is a .profile file in a user's home directory in bash Cloud Shell, I could not find any evidence that it gets executed when starting a Cloud Shell session. It is possible to work around this with a hack in the .bashrc and an extra environment variable, but the behavior of bash startup scripts in bash Cloud Shell should be well-defined and documented.
