  2. Restore the ability to map a network drive to Azure File Storage

This used to be a feature in Cloud Shell. Then it disappeared sometime in the summer of 2018. Apparently it's something to do with the switch from windows to Linux.

If you go to Azure File Storage and click the ellipsis you can still get a snippet of code that is supposed to mount a Z drive to that File Share. Only it doesn't work any more.

I rasied a bug for it here:
    https://github.com/PowerShell/PowerShell/issues/8829#issuecomment-461560590

And got told it was a bug. Therefore could I request it as a new feature.
Which I am not sure makes total sense. But…

  4. Support timezones in PowerShell

CloudShell with PowerShell supports Get-Timezone but not Set-Timezone. On the other hand CloudShell with Bash does support setting the timezone with TZ command.

PowerShell should provide the same capability so that file datetimes will show user's local time.

  5. Enter-AzVM be made available for VM's without Public IP

Enter-AzVM should work on a an Azure VM without Public IP and on a VM created thru ASR replication.

  6. Enable-AzVMPSRemoting silently fails targetting a Linux VM

If a target Linux VM is different than Ubuntu 18.04, Enable-AzVMPSRemoting silently fails to install PowerShell Core. The reason is the hard-coded URL for a PowerShell Core package:
    sudo wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/config/ubuntu/18.04/packages-microsoft-prod.deb

  7. Unable to mount persistent storage

Here's the scenario (that you can reproduce):
    - User logged in to Azure portal (commercial cloud). User has role 'reader' assigned at the subscription level.
    - User clicks the ;Cloud shell' button in the portal, goes to advanced settings, picks a subscription, existing storage account, picks a name for the Azure file share
    - Cloud Shell starts but fails to mount Azure file share - see attached image

Now, user gets 'owner' role in a specific Resource Group, and wishes to setup persistent storage for Cloud Shell under a new Storage Account in this new RG, but
    a) the Cloud…

  10. msonline

MSOnline Module is not working in the shell. Some commands like Get-MsolDomainFederationSettings are only available in this module. This module should be allowed to work. The cloud shell says the module is installed and imported however the commands are not recognized.

  18. CLS command doesn't clears the screen.

While working with Azure Cloud Shell - Powershell Preview, I observed that running ""CLS" command doesn't clears that screen, rather it hides the old commands & their output & it can be viewed by scrolling up.

It would be nice to have same functionality as we do have in powershell for CLS function.
