More flexible pricing
The current pricing tiers have a big jump between the Basic tier and the start of the General Purpose tiers. The current pricing does not compare at all favourably to simply just spinning up a linux virtual machine and running MySQL.
Could we have a General Purpose tier priced a bit lower with only one vCore?

We have bumped into scenarios where we could really use a short term bump on something within the basic tier, but are then ether forced to migrate the contents to a GP scaled mysql or suffer the CPU limit.
The alternative is not really much better due to the fact that we do have some low intensity DB's that have peak load on certain days /dates, but barely use 20 % in the "off period"
It would be fantastic to be able to scale to and from basic or at least scale GB down to a single core

Same issue with VNET Support, Geo Replication, and other features only available at the higher tiers. AWS RDS gives much better flexibility around pricing without cutting features.

I am using a basic 1VCore and my average resource utilization is 0.8%; however I need more then 50 connections. I need to upgrade to 2VCore and my resource utilization is even lower. It is not really value for money when your resource utilization is less then 1%; however because of one limitation you end up paying almost double the money.
