(Cross-region) Read replicas
Would be great to have an ability to have a master in one region (e.g. Central US) and read-only replicas in other regions (e.g. West/East US)
(renamed; merged with "active geo-replication")
Cross region read replicas are now in public preview for Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
You can create cross region replicas via the Azure portal. Learn more here: https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/postgresql/howto-read-replicas-portal
Thank you for your support of this feature.

Any updates? My team wants to stay with Azure but we are already discussing a move to AWS because of this.
Any info on third party implementation for postgres with read replica on azure ?

Would love to see a timeline for this. We have a large few production workloads that would ride on this.

This would make it possible to replicate a DB across regions and to query (read) each region independently.

do we have a planned timeline for this feature?
