  3. Wordpress Web App in Azure Gov

Working with a MAG customer who wants to migrate several WordPress sites to Azure. They would like to leverage PaaS whenever possible and would prefer to deploy the Word Press Web Apps offering rather than building their own solution on IaaS VMs or using VM images published by vendors in the MarketPlace, most of which are not an option due to the OS distro included. When will the PaaS WordPress Web App offering might be available in MAG?

The Wordpress template has a dependency in Azure database for MySQL and App Service on Linux, neither of which are available in Azure Government yet.
For development and testing purposes, you can use this template which uses MySQL In-App and App Service on Windows:
    https://github.com/Azure/azure-quickstart-templates/tree/master/wordpress-app-service-mysql-inapp

Alternatively, for production purposes, you can still use App Service on Windows and an IaaS-based MySQL backend instead.

  4. Add alerts to Azure backup vaults in L4 regions (USVirgina)

We need to receive alerts when backup jobs have completed in ASR but at this time, alerting and notification is not available in L4 gov regions such as US Virginia.

  5. Azure policy notifications for auditing etc

I would like to see notifications for policies. I tried using Log Analytics capabilities but I’m not satisfied with the result. I think this is a must have.

  9. API Management Consumption plan (like in Commercial)

In today's MS Connect, Microsoft announced availability of API Management Consumption plan (In preview) in Microsoft Azure Commercial subscriptions. Why not extend the same offer to Govt, Cloud? This is a great solution for several State and Local customers.

  11. Move Managed Disks between Resource Groups and Subscriptions

It is not supported to move VMs with Managed Disks between Resource Groups or Subscriptions. This is currently available in the commercial cloud: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/resource-group-move-resources#virtual-machines-limitations , but we don't have this provider available in Azure Government. If we need to move a VM with a managed disk, we must snapshot the managed disk, copy that over, and recreate the VM in the new Resource Group or subscription. This incurs unnecessary downtime.

  13. Please allow direct EA enrollment for US Azure Government

Currently Azure Government EAs are only available through a Licensing Solutions Provider (LSP): https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/offers/azure-government/

We would like to have the option to switch our Azure EA Gov account so that we are a direct Microsoft customer. We would prefer to deal with Microsoft directly for everything.

  14. SAP Hanna on Gov Cloud (L4/L5).

Customers are looking at modernizing logistics and ERP solutions, often written and stored on on-prem exadata solutions. Those same customer are looking to AWS hosted solutions, oracle solutions, or maintaining an on-prem environment.

  15. Add option 'Export to CSV' on the VM list page.

In the past, it was possible to copy/paste the VM list from the web page to Excel. It no longer works, so as a workaround, can you add the 'Export to CSV' button?

  16. SQL Service Provider for Hybrid Benefit in Azure Government

Burn rate in the several thousands per month for every month unavailable and several man hours to move from migrated in SQL to BYOL images in Azure Government affects all departments and agencies with existing Agreements for Licensing when performing lift and shift migrations.

This is a platform limitation only in MAG and exists as a standard option in MAC.

What we the customer need urgently: any simple workaround to correct the LicenseType or SKU without disruption to systems as with Windows OS HUB via PowerShell and AZ CLI or similar.

    What we can wait on:
    GUI based options which…

  20. Portal generated MAG Deployment Template uses incorrect PowerShell command for login

By going to any Resource Group, Automation Script then selecting PowerShell. When downloading the deployment template or viewing the powershell template for deployments the command used is:
    Login-AzureRMAccount
    without the Environment name.

    The command should be
    Login-AzureRmAccount -EnvironmentName AzureUSGovernment

The script file is also wrong when you download the zip file.
