Running automation accounts and runbooks to do this... Please give us the option to schedule the processing of tabular models via the portal already!! Seems like a no-brainer and something that should take your devs a few hours to implement, especially considering there's an API available

Having a task in ADF to orchestrate automated processing would also be nice to have.

Today in order to refresh aas from DW, we built a custom program/utility. its one of the most complex portions of the pattern, and its disconnected from the pipeline (ADF) orchestration patterns.
Future - Need better data refresh integration between DW and AAS via a policy and or thru data factory pipeline activity. this will simplify our pattern, reduce support costs, and provide better overall data orchestration refresh status/health.

Learning to create an Azure function in Automation is useful knowledge that could be applied elsewhere. But,...scheduled refresh through the UI is a fundamental need for an Azure AS cube. It's not a v 2.0 feature.

Azure function is a work around, but it would be great to have this functionality built into to a scheduling agent right in Azure AS.

There should be an easy way to implement this in Azure Portal or an option to run a local SQL agent.

In the meantime what is the alternative? Do we need to write .NET code and automate this through Azure Batch / Azure Data Factory?
