This Performance (Preview) blade in the Azure Portal is super helpful.
One suggestion though: we have lots of very frequent (and fast) requests to a health check resource which is pinged by the load balancer and also used for the availability tests which run every 1 minute from 4 different locations.
These requests totally pollute the statistics.
Is it possible to filter out specific requests?8 votes
We have restrictions that all our disaster recovery resources should be created in "North Central US" region. As a result, we are not able to use Application Insights. Are there any plans on having app insights for North Central US region?8 votes
Started, target though is late summer, early fall.
Add support for VueJs that supports the entire Analytics feature set. There is an open source one currently, but its pretty basic.8 votes
Can you clarify what Analytics feature set you are referring to?

Parameterized queries in the Kusto Query Language are a great way to mitigate injection attacks. This is already available in other offerings that support KQL. It would be nice if the Application Insights REST API offered this ability as well.7 votes
Thanks for your feedback and its now open for the user community to upvote & comment on. This allows us to effectively prioritize your request against our existing feature backlog and also gives us insight into the potential impact of implementing the suggested feature.
How to add exception details in alert mail notification. I only get links to redirect to azure portal.7 votes

I leverage Application maps to monitor traffic flow. It's difficult to have a holistic view if I'm not able to move the individual icons closer together.
Right now I have to move up and down the map because the icons spread out too much so I miss something if it's all the way down the bottom, so please allow me to move of icons in Application maps.7 votes
There should be a way to either share queries across multiple resource groups on the same subscription, or at least batch exporting/importing in the analytics blade. It's common to deploy several instances of an application to different resource groups as different sandboxes/environments, but typically we'd be interested in displaying analytics data uniformly across all environments.7 votes
Application Map Download application map as screenshot and getting tabular data with application map would be great addition.

On the Live Metrics Stream it would be useful to be able to view the metrics for a subset of servers. Currently it is only possible to view all servers together or a single server.
For example, if I had a Virtual Machine Scale Set (VMSS) representing servers hosting an application gateway and another VMSS representing servers hosting back end microservices, I would like to be able to select all gateway servers to view metrics for the combined set of gateway servers.7 votes
Support the ability to audit and view who is using various features in AI, ad hoc queries that are run, what information was viewed, etc. Perhaps feed this information into Azure Activity Logs or similar. This information can then be used for certain auditing scenarios as well as usage and behavior information.7 votes
Add HTTP Queue Length metric to Servers table (and maybe a graph)7 votes
In the same way you expose the "Application Insights Component Contributor" role, expose a new role that give access to Overview and all other parts of AI (including Analytics) in a read-only fashion7 votes
Looking for Custom schedule for availability test rather just 5/10/15 min7 votes
While some applications have specific requirements, a lot of reports that come out of analystics must be pretty common. It would be nice to have an área in which to find common queries already optimized and 'verified' by the community and/or Microsoft itself.
Queries like: "between two dates, which are the pages that had most time consumption difference"7 votes
We’re currently planning a feature that will expose a repo of community-shared queries, which we think will answer this need as well.
The repo itself is available and open today at https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/LogAnalyticsExamples
Will update more as planning continues,
You used to be able to get Screen Resolution by creating a new Session chart and Grouping By "Screen Resolution". This option is no longer there! How can find this info now so it can help me make decisions (please don't let it be send custom events... i need to look at my current historic data)?7 votes
Screen resolution was deprecated as a standard dimension, but it’s still available as a custom dimension.
See thread here for context:
Feel free to make a case as to why this should be brought back as a standard dimension, but please note that standard dimensions add cost for everyone who doesn’t use the data.

I like the idea of monitoring WCF Services with Application Insights and I'm sucessfully using the related SDK Lab already in production for a while. Please make the WCF Lab SDK offical! In addition, it would be nice to be able to log the RAW SOAP Messages as well.7 votes
Status monitor gather a lot of useful info, it would be nice getting a status monitor for other web servers (Tomacat, Apache), hooking into Java SDK too, and compatible with Windows and Linux.
Also, status monitor for other types of servers like SQL Server or Oracle, or non web based app servers would be usefull to understand system behaviors for end to end analysis.
Moreover, installing an agent while system is already in production is a change easy to test and apply, whereas asking for a new release including custom telemetry can take time (depending on continous deployment efficiency).7 votes
Thank you for your feedback!
We will look into the amount of effort required to provide a status monitor offering for the Java SDK.
I have added this item to our backlog on GitHub where you can follow our progress: https://github.com/Microsoft/ApplicationInsights-Java/issues/417

Currently it appears that Application Insights don't support IPv6 IP addresses - whenever a request containing an IPv6 is sent, an error occurs. Please make Application Insights support IPv6.7 votes
