right now, the only format available for Application Insights Availability multi-step web test is "webtest", which is specific to Visual Studio.
In order to support more technologies, it should be compatible with other widespread formats (HAR, Selenium, JMeter, ...).
As China is considered as different as per IT. We have the complaint from China customer for accession our web app which is Host in Azure East US Region.
And we found nothing for how to monitor Availability from China2 votes

For URL Ping tests, we can configure a specific URL ping test as failure based on the retrieved http status code but we are not seeing the http status code being captured as a dedicated metric. It would be helpful if http status code is captured and available as a dedicated metric so that we can build specific dashboards for visualizing the http status code of the URLs that are monitored via URL Ping test.1 vote
