I've enabled Front Doors on my Web App with AppInsights enabled and noticed a huge increase in data ingested - possibly due to heartbeat queries from FD service. There should exist an option to discard / sample the same traffic, or deduplicate it somehow? I can't use app insights with azure front doors due to pricing consequences it creates, and I'll probably need to drop this in favor of front doors if this cant be helped

In application Insight there is an application map feature that highlights the status of interaction between components. It would be great to have a way to filter the data to show only failures where the count is greater than a configurable threshold and a filter where the failure rate is over a certain failure rate. The combination of these two would help in getting to the data that would be address with a highest priority.

Azure App Insight Rest API is great and you already have done some great work on Charts.
It would be great if you shared it to integrate into external websites so we don't have to turn raw datas into pretty graphics all over again (and ugly).

Basically, I want a webpart where I type my query and get that on my sharepoint site (cf file). Or iframe integration.

Allow for a filter or another graph to track 401's, 403's, and all other 4xx calls separate from 5xx calls so that we know if we are encountering auth issues or exceptions in Live Metrics Stream.

I got a message saying that we had too many servers reporting. I don't necessarily need to see all of the hosts there, but I would like to be able to create a sharable, saveable view of the live metrics stream for a specific subset of hosts.

This view would be very useful for monitoring high web volume events for our clients.

When I filter out SignalR and Dependency 404's, for example, on the Live Metrics Stream, let me save that so I don't have to do it every time I'm monitoring the site.

We have multiple Live Views, and the size of the name of the AI instance is very small and tucked under the generic Live Metrics Stream title. Makes it difficult. Would like to see the name larger, or ideally be able to display a "Friendly" name for the instance.

According to docs[1] I should be able to export a funnel to power BI.
So I wonder why this option is missing from my funnel toolbar.
There is a Share url option but that looks way less useful than the missing one.

When choosing the time range in Failures and Search the calendar settings should be configurable. I would like to be able to choose the week start day, 24H format. Or at least, it should take the local settings. The week starts from Monday, not Sunday, in the UK and Ireland. The 24H format is more convenient to set the custom time.

Id would be very nice if I could select multiple Servers in AI Live Metric Stream.

When browsing through a VPN the IP address is changed and it mess up the user country/region information from the client perspective. Currently there is not a way to change the country/region using the client side nor the server side. It would be good to provide a way to override such an information by using an initializer.

Being able to setup a function app to do this ok, but this is way to complicated for something that should built into the AI blade.

Look at what you can do in Splunk. It is much easier. Let's get App Insights / Log Analytics to be better than that.

When you have a map with many services/roles/applications.
There is a tendency to have a few "hotspots" centered on the map and all the other things moved "far away" such that to get an overview you have to zoom out where each node in the graph is ridiculously small.

It would be awesome if the clustering could somehow take into account that the spacing relative to these central hotspots should not be too large. Included screendump of an example.

If you select Dimensions in the User Flow it's not getting visible if there are long event names. Therefore show it seperatly on the cards.

Add a connection count for function apps. When my app gets socked with messages it goes into an unhealthy state as it tries to process all of them. It opens too many connections. Regardless if I use a lazy one or not, It's going to choke if it takes a long time to process and it's receiving a lot in a rush.

Currently user cannot set custom time range on User Flow menu and it is difficult to get User Flow for specified interval. (e.g. to get daily report, user has to log-in Azure portal same time every day to get last 24 hours of data. )
Please add custom time range support on user Flow menu.

Annotations would be very valuable on Live Stream and the new Metrics(preview) area. My hope this would also push to the dashboards created from these as well.
