Add TypeScript support to Azure Functions
Please support writing TypeScript in Azure Functions when you're creating Node functions
Please see https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/improving-the-typescript-support-in-azure-functions/, improved typescript support has been released.
This feature could be solved by adding first class Deno support https://deno.land/v1
Even a set of standard/maintained set of typings, would be a great MVP. we can use webpack for other things.
Looks to already be available today as a "preview" language when creating custom functions.

Why is this 'unplanned', yet the admin comment says it's "on our backlog'?
Support for TypeScript is on our backlog. Unfortunately, there's isn't an ETA to share at this time but we'll keep this thread updated with the latest. Thanks for your patience!

I agree, I'd love to see support. Confusing that the CLI states it is there, but does not work.

Can we have an update on this? The option is now in the web UI. Thanks
