Ability to have storage only nodes
Have the ability to have storage only nodes to an existing stamp

We understand this request to be asymmetric growth between compute and storage, can you detail the growth curve you are looking at for your storage needs.
Thanks

can we mix all flash nodes with Hybrid nodes for tiering?

I would have to agree as well. The ability for our customers to be able to add additional storage nodes instead of going out and needing to buy compute, network and storage. This change could really help get into some the higher end SMB customers.

Like others have commented, we have customers that have higher storage growth than compute/network. In addition, there are some data retention policy that requires data to be archive for several years, so the need for additional storage will be needed.

In our other cloud platforms we see storage growing far faster than other resources like compute and network especially when object storage is involved. In modern application delivery cheap high latency low cost storage tends to quickly need PB level scaling so offering blob storage that is not scalable independently of block is a real problem and will limit the types of applications that can be deployed.

We have some customers who are offerings their services with unlimited archive data, and therefore will eventually require loads of storage and having a small frontend to deliver their services. Nothing concrete when it comes to the dataload but it is more then a 12 server setup can handle as of now
