  1. VNET Peering in Azure Stack

Please consider to implement VNET Peering on Azure Stack (like available on Azure) to be able to connect VNETs within the Azure Stack Region without the need to provision VPN-Gateways

  2. Multiple region support for Azure Stack

For HA application deployment across diferrent sites we have the requirement to support multiple regions within azure stack.

  3. Single pane of glass. Manage Microsoft Azure subscriptions from Microsoft Azure Stack and vice versa

Since Portal and ARM are consistent across clouds it would be awesome if we can manage an Microsoft Azure subscription from Microsoft Azure Stack (preferably add to ARM like a region). And vice versa add a Microsoft Azure Stack region to Microsoft Azure (preferable as a region in ARM for that tenant).

  4. Support N-series in Azure Stack for GPU based payloads

Please add the support of N-series virtual machine in Azure Stack, in order to allow GPU intensive payload opportunities (such as 3D engineering or Laser scans applications)

  5. Metering for Internet usage for tenants

Provide the metering for the network usage for internet traffic ingress & egress for a tenant.

This is essential for Service Providers in order to bill and recover internet usage costs

  6. Desktop as a Service (DaaS) cloud service for Azure Stack

As a hosting service provider (the majority who will use Azure stack in production) and large enterprise, customers wanted the capability to provide Desktop as a service (DaaS) for Windows Azure Pack. We need this cloud service in Azure Stack for GA.

  7. ASDK: Extended network connectivity

I like the default ASDK setup that do not need extended network knowledge to get it up and running. That should stay as it is.

At the other hand, more advanced network setups where connectivity outside the ASDK environment can be needed. Some use cases:

    1. In our case we are running a Azure Stack proof-of-concept that includes connectivity to other systems and the internet

    2. Development use case were you are developing / testing your application and the application need existing test systems that are outside the ASDF environment. Think of: enterprise message busses, datawarehouses / databases, integration with…

  8. Methodology or suggestion for Azure Stack SLA calculation

There is ongoing ask from Service Providers to equip them with methodology or guide how to calculate aggregated SLA for Azure Stack installations which these Service Providers are going to operate. It is obvious that there is no direct SLA commitment from Microsoft side for Azure Stack availability thus at least recommendations would be really helpful. Especially having in mind that Microsoft itself has tremendous experience to calculate SLA for its Azure DCs and Cloud Services – which hopefully can be somehow shared with Partner Ecosystem.

  9. Azure Container Services

Implement Azure Container Services on Azure Stack. It would be nice to have this available when Azure Stack ships.

  10. Higher VPN bandwidth

VPN bandwidth seems to be at most 200Mbit/s. Achieving higher bandwidth over a VPN connection should be possible.

  11. View for customer Azure Stack VMs

We need a few where we can see all the VMs for all our customers via Azure Stack Admin portal. There are such views networks and storage accounts for example and I cannot understand why there is not such view for VMs. From that view we do not want to control the VMs like Start and Stop but we would want to see the size of the vm, the number of disks, the network adapters, their state, the network security groups, etc. Basically all the configurations of the VMs. This information also needs to be available in the Admin ARM…

  12. Availability of Dv3 and Ev3 sizes on Azure Stack

The Availability of Dv3 and Ev3 sizes on Azure Stack is very useful for those service providers who want to keep pricelists consistant with Azure and offering consistant with Azure

  13. Provide VM size data in invoice Reconcile File

Please provide the size of the VM in the invoice reconcile file. This is needed so we can charge differently for different series just like it is in Azure. Having that data only in usage API is not useful for us as we directly use the reconcile file. Also our customers will be able to see that data and see how much they've spend for each size.

  14. Ability to restrict compute sizes available to users

It would be very beneficial to have the ability to restrict what compute sizes are available to users via offers much like you have the ability to do in Azure Dev/Test Labs. as we are working with a restricted set of compute capacity it would allow admins to have more granular control.

  15. User Portal: Can View Marketplace Items not yet downloaded to Azure Stack

Currently, users can only view marketplace items that an administrator has downloaded using the admin portal. Request to add the capability for a user to view available items in Azure Marketplace, even if it has not been downloaded to the marketplace in Azure Stack yet. If the item is not available in Azure Stack marketplace, add the ability for a user to request the item, which triggers a notification to an administrator to download from Azure Marketplace.

  16. Azure Stack Meter List per API

Expose data of https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-stack/azure-stack-usage-related-faq as a simple API (A json file containing the data was already enough).

The should be an automatic way to get Azure Stack Meters, as we expect this list to grow :)

  17. Deployment via ARM should support managed disks schema at the very least

I am not suggesting that all the technology of managed disks should be possible on Stack although this would clearly be useful. I think that, at the very least, Azure Stack should be able to deal with the managed disks schema in ARM templates without erroring thereby allowing for templates to be deployable seamlessly between Stack and Azure.

  18. Add PTR support for DNS resolution of the external facing infrastructure services in Azure Stack

Some customers may need to define firewall rules based on URLs rather than IP addresses. For this to work for the incoming traffic, PTR resolution must be available for the IP range used by the external facing infrastructure services of Azure Stack.

  19. Add the ability to check the progress of downloads when syndicating items from the marketplace

It would be great if the progress of downloads could be checked when syndicating items from the marketplace to Azure Stack, through the portal or PowerShell - percentage and download speed would be great.

  20. IOPs upper limit applied to virtual disks

The application of IOPs upper limits (QoS) to virtual disks in line with the Azure-based storage profile for type of storage.

This is to prevent "noisy neighbors" affecting other tenants in a multi-tenant scenario

e.g. HDD (Standard) - Max 500 IOPs per disk
