  2. Add support for MySQL RP in PowerShell

Currently there is no support for deploying MySQL components using PowerShell cmdlets (same with Azure CLI).

Please add support for creating MySQL servers and databases

  4. Deployment via ARM should support managed disks schema at the very least

I am not suggesting that all the technology of managed disks should be possible on Stack although this would clearly be useful. I think that, at the very least, Azure Stack should be able to deal with the managed disks schema in ARM templates without erroring thereby allowing for templates to be deployable seamlessly between Stack and Azure.

  5. Metering for Internet usage for tenants

Provide the metering for the network usage for internet traffic ingress & egress for a tenant.

This is essential for Service Providers in order to bill and recover internet usage costs

  6. Mechanism to control vCPU to Core subscription ratio

Ability to set the maximum vCPU to physical Core subscription ratio in the Quota for the Compute Service.

Additionally also provide a metric in the Health Provider to report the current level of vCPU to Core subscription ratio for a Scale Unit

  7. Access to all Portal / ARM interfaces only over HTTP/HTTPS

Reduce access / interfacing with ARM / Portal from a tenant perspective to only over HTTP / HTTPS.

This will allow for easier access to Azure Stack instances hosted outside of a tenant's corporate network by a user located within the corporate network (which typically restricts external access to HTTP/HTTPS ports for untrusted external internet addresses= via proxy)

  8. IOPs upper limit applied to virtual disks

The application of IOPs upper limits (QoS) to virtual disks in line with the Azure-based storage profile for type of storage.

This is to prevent "noisy neighbors" affecting other tenants in a multi-tenant scenario

e.g. HDD (Standard) - Max 500 IOPs per disk

  9. When creating subscriptions select the Directory Tenant first, then have a drop down or search to only allow users from that Directory

When creating subscriptions select the Directory Tenant first, then have a drop down or search to only allow users from that Directory. This will help prevent any spelling mistakes on the User ID that would require the subscription to be recreated.

  10. VNET Peering in Azure Stack

Please consider to implement VNET Peering on Azure Stack (like available on Azure) to be able to connect VNETs within the Azure Stack Region without the need to provision VPN-Gateways

  12. Ability to restrict compute sizes available to users

It would be very beneficial to have the ability to restrict what compute sizes are available to users via offers much like you have the ability to do in Azure Dev/Test Labs. as we are working with a restricted set of compute capacity it would allow admins to have more granular control.

  13. Ability to support enterprise proxy

In TP2 a transparent proxy only is supported to communicate with Azure. Unfortunately thats no option because of our network security policy. So it prevents to use Azure Stack as a future hybrid Cloud platform. We need the ability that Azure Stack supports enterprise proxy servers with proxy authentication/ssl interception.

  14. IPV6 and connectivity issue

I doubt if the Azure stack will be deployed in pure IPV6 environment hence can we disable the IPV6 on the Domain controller specially in DNS so that there are not connectivity and timeout issues during deployment

  15. Setting up Stretched SQL databases to AzureStack

Would love to have the option to setup Stretched databases within SQL Server 2016 to be pointed to an AzureStack deployment in addition to Microsoft Azure (Which today is the only choice)

  16. Easier way of creating tenant spaces

Right now I use Terraform to create an entire stack within a Resource Group. With Azure Stack there doesn't seem to be a way to use an API or another automated method to create the customer accounts in Azure Stack. Right now I'd have to manually create the customer's account and subscription and create a service user in AD to be able to have an access key, client id, subscription id, etc to be able to automatically create infrastructure within that customer's space.

  17. Add the ability to deliver messages\announcements to end users (similar to Azure portal).

So Azure ARM Portal sometimes gives you some piece of important information, like that is now GA or this is now Live, etc. Give us the ability to alert\inform end users about stuff

  18. Documentation on how to create your own resource provider

Given that Azure Stack is a portal that works with resource providers to offer up things like compute, network, and storage. These are limited in their current functionality to MS platform specific resources. Allowing customers to write their own resource providers would allow them to extend functionality to additional platforms in their environment. For instance someone could write a resource provider to speak directly to their NAS or SAN, or work directly with a CISCO or Brocade fabric. They might even want to deploy resources on VMware or Xen ...

Obviously moving the workloads between those hypervisors to Azure would…

  19. Azure stack installer without OS and SQL VHDX

The current Azure stack installation package is around 10GB in size and is way too big to download it each time there is a updated version. Please allow for the SQL 2014, Windows 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2016 bits to be downloaded or added separately, so we can save time and space.

  20. Desktop as a Service (DaaS) cloud service for Azure Stack

As a hosting service provider (the majority who will use Azure stack in production) and large enterprise, customers wanted the capability to provide Desktop as a service (DaaS) for Windows Azure Pack. We need this cloud service in Azure Stack for GA.
