  1. Error Response is not proper through API

    When calling through API

If Subscription for a register provider (Microsoft.compute) is not registered, the error should be similar to this, where as it Error message SUBSCRIPTION ID could not be found.

  3. boot diagnostics

There is already a feature for boot diagnostics (more services -> virtual machines -> vm details -> boot diagnostics) that shows the splash screen during boot of a VM, but it defaults to the top of the list. The last entries to the list is always at the bottom, and the last entries is always what's of interest. I wish that the list would scroll to the bottom by default.

  6. Custom Github integration for Quickstart Repo´s

The Default Quickstart Template Repo point´s to the Public Azurestack Repo. We need to have this to be a Private Repo that is Controlled by the Customer´s Operator on a Per Tenant Base:
    - Limit to NOT use Public per Tenant / Subscription
    - Point do an Internal Quickstart Repo ( also for Disconnected Scenarios )

  7. Display Tenant vCPU Usage vs. Total Cores in Admin Portal

As one of the most Important Chargeback Criteria is vCPU, we need a way to at least Monitor Consumption of vCPU and put this in Ratio with pCores.
The total vCPU Consumption needs to be displayed vwitha Gauche on the Admin Dashboard in Capacity

  8. Clarification on licensing of resources within the Stack

It is not always clear which licensing models can be used for which service. For example, how are the VMs hosting the App Service Resource Provider licensed? The documentation states this is a fully managed service, yet there are no details the license requirements for these VMs.

  9. Methodology or suggestion for Azure Stack SLA calculation

There is ongoing ask from Service Providers to equip them with methodology or guide how to calculate aggregated SLA for Azure Stack installations which these Service Providers are going to operate. It is obvious that there is no direct SLA commitment from Microsoft side for Azure Stack availability thus at least recommendations would be really helpful. Especially having in mind that Microsoft itself has tremendous experience to calculate SLA for its Azure DCs and Cloud Services – which hopefully can be somehow shared with Partner Ecosystem.

  10. Automatically disable virtual machine creation during stamp updates.

It would be fantastic if you could disable VM creation during an update. Maybe switch out the +new landing page to a message warning users that the system is currently undergoing maintenance !

  13. ASDK deployment on Azure virtual machine with nested virtualization

Why is not supported to run ASDK deployment on Azure virtual machine with nested virtualization ? For Development purposes it could be very benefitial.

  14. Provide VM size data in invoice Reconcile File

Please provide the size of the VM in the invoice reconcile file. This is needed so we can charge differently for different series just like it is in Azure. Having that data only in usage API is not useful for us as we directly use the reconcile file. Also our customers will be able to see that data and see how much they've spend for each size.

  15. View for customer Azure Stack VMs

We need a few where we can see all the VMs for all our customers via Azure Stack Admin portal. There are such views networks and storage accounts for example and I cannot understand why there is not such view for VMs. From that view we do not want to control the VMs like Start and Stop but we would want to see the size of the vm, the number of disks, the network adapters, their state, the network security groups, etc. Basically all the configurations of the VMs. This information also needs to be available in the Admin ARM…

  16. Constrained VM-sizes in Azure Stack (for VMs with per CPU licensing)

In Microsoft Azure we have the concept of "Contrained VMs" (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/windows/constrained-vcpu) that helps when licensing VMs with "per CPU" applications (lika MS SQL or such).
If it where possible to make these available in Azure Stack it would help to move a traditional VM to a cloudmodel (but still license the SQL installation with "on-prem" licenses (EA, SPLA or otherwise).

D-sizes already exist in Azure Stack so atleast the following sizes should "simple" to implement. :)
    StandardDS11-1v2
    StandardDS12-2v2
    StandardDS12-1v2
    StandardDS13-4v2
    StandardDS13-2v2
    StandardDS14-8v2
    StandardDS14-4v2

    Thanks

  18. Add Azure Stack in "Products available by region"

Our customer wants to know the difference between the services of Azure and the services of Azure Stack. If Azure stack is one of the Azure region, Azure Stack should be append to "Products available by region".

  19. Azure SQL DB vs Azure Stack SQL DB

What are the considerations to be kept in mind while offering DB as a service on Azure stack. Feature parity between SQL DB vs Azure stack SQL DB. Whats is the roadmap for the database management capabilities which are not available as a paas offering on azure stack wrt SQL DB

  20. Button for Maintenance mode / Automatic Maintenance page / Notification for end users when the portal is under update/upgrade

Automatically provision or press of a button, deploy availability set of webserver which would state that the portal is under maintenance and point the portal's own FQDN towards that availability set public IP + also close the ports for API/Powershell for Tenant users. After the update either automaticly or manually remove the availability set and point the portal address to correct place.
