  1. Admin Portal: See current ressources deployed in user subscriptions

    Admin Portal -> User Subscriptions
it would be great if the azure stack administrator could see a tenants resources that have been created in a subscription. No names but quantities and sizes (e.g. vm type) would be great.

  2. Azure Stack Metering: Provide memory usage of VMs e.g. 'virtual RAM hours' per tenant/subscription.

Service Provider with Azure Stack is thinking about a pricing model with Memory / Memory Bursting ("X RAM for x hours"). He would love to get the counters from azure stack API.

  4. Azure site recovery for Azure stack to Azure stack DR

Please support ASR for Azure stack to Azure stack failover. This will be a big relief for hosting partners, trying to bundle DR services without having to deal with partner products.

  5. Offer LRS Storage capability

When multi-scale unit in a region functionality is released, consider having a true LRS equivalent capability for when a stamp goes down, more than likely due to an S2D event.

  6. Enable Virtual WAN Support for SD-WAN providers for Azure Stack

In our User Story we have a refugee camp in remote Africa, where the Azure Stack partner will host a well connected Azure Stack and have SD-WAN capability. Enabling the various non-government organizations (NGO) to keep some processing/data in country, while allowing aggregated data synchronized up to the NGO's Azure proper implementation via a well defined virtual WAN.

  7. Disassociate public ip from VM

As customer request after we set up the VM and configure the site to site VPN, we need to disassociate public IP from VM. So VM can be accessed from private IP address only.

  8. Can we fix some of the Power shell commands

When you new and trying to learn some of the Powershell command do not have proper Space and throw errors for comments making me think there is an issue:

the following line throw red errors in PowerShell because there is NO SPACE after the # sign, as a Nub, you think you've done something wrong because you get 5 lines of errors for each command when all you nee is a Space at each comment

    requires -Version 5

    requires -RunAsAdministrator

    requires -Module PowerShellGet

    requires -Module PackageManagement

The lines should read like this, makes all the difference in the world to…

  9. Analytics Platform on Azure Stack

Currently, we need to anonymise data before loading into Azure Cloud for ML and other analytics purposes. The ideal case would be that for sensitive data handling, we are able to leverage the same platform capabilities in Azure Stack, as these are available on MS Azure.

  10. Provide serial port access to a VM

I made a mistake in my CentOS Linux image so when it booted, it could not fully boot. However, I could see in the Linux Boot Diagnostics page that the kernel was asking me for the root password so I could fix the problem. It wasn't booted, so there was not network yet. However, it could talk on a serial port to let me login - if you could add that to AzureStack.

  11. Add support for PowerShell Core v6

To install Powershell for Azure Stack, PowerShell 5.0 is required.
Is it in plan to support v6?

  12. Add ability to report Public IP usage for Tenants for Billing Purposes

As a CSP we need to be able to report how many Public IPs our tenants are using.

We also need to be able to report which exact IPs are being allocated to specific tenants.

Currently we can only do it inside the Stack but it does not say which resource is using which IP.

None of the data from inside Azure Stack gets reported back via CSP Billing Portal.

Therefore, we not only cannot see who is using which IPs, but also are unable to bill for them.

  13. External Enterprise SAN Support using iSCSI for Storage without a SOFS

Currently Azure Stack support for external storage is poor. The only way I know of to connect, for example, tenant VMs to external storage is via a SOFS that serves as the intermediate host between the SAN and Azure Stack. For high capacity and high performance storage needs, a traditional enterprise SAN (like DellEMC or NetApp) simply cannot be beat in terms of price and performance. Using SOFS adds unnecessary complexity and performance bottlenecks since there are now multiple hops between storage and VM.

Azure Stack should allow direct connection via iSCSI HBA to traditional SANs. I understand this will…

  17. Upgrade Support for ASDK

    Support upgrade for ASDK.

It is just not realistic for developers to rebuild ASDK each time when there is a new build. Microsoft should allow the upgrade of ASDK just like the integrated system. It is just like SQL Developer edition vs Enterprise edition, all features and upgrade are supported in the same way, just Developer edition is for dev/test.

When we rebuild the ASDK for evaluation, not only do we have to re-deploy the ASDK, but also re-build all POC scenarios as well, it could be weeks of effort.

  19. Display Quota Value

    Hello Team,

It will be good if while selecting the Plan and Quota in AzureStack, The actual value of the previously created quota should be displayed.
As it will be helpful for the Admin to select the Quota as per the predefined value.

    Regards,

    Ashwani Singh
