  1. Expose Stack Version to User of Portal

According to docs (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure-stack/operator/azure-stack-powershell-install) there are specific requirements for Powershell on local machine, depending on the version of Azure Stack. But Stack Version is not exposed to User (at least I could not find it - no "Properties" link) - required contacting the Stack operator - wasting their time and mine.

  2. Inconsistency in Azure Stack Documentation

There may be an error in the Azure Stack documentation. In the section on différences between Identity management with AAD or ADFS, the table states that you CANNOT create service principals using secrets in ADFS (see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-stack/azure-stack-identity-architecture).

Yet in the documentation on how to create service principals, it states that you CAN create service principals using secrets in ADFS (see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-stack/azure-stack-create-service-principals).

    Which one is right?

  3. Recover deleted storage account steps - Need Amendment

I have the 1811 ASDK installed.

Your steps for recovering a storage account are incorrect in the Azure Stack Operator How-to-guides>Manage Azure Stack> Manage Capacity> Manage Storage Capacity

First: The Set Retention period steps should be in front of the recover storage account steps. As once you run the steps your deleted storage account is immediately unrecoverable.

Second: The process should be as follows
1: Navigate to All Services > Storage
2: Select Storage Accounts > Search for the Account Name
3: Select the deleted account and then select Recover

I read the Gotcha section below your steps but i…

  5. Can we fix some of the Power shell commands

When you new and trying to learn some of the Powershell command do not have proper Space and throw errors for comments making me think there is an issue:

the following line throw red errors in PowerShell because there is NO SPACE after the # sign, as a Nub, you think you've done something wrong because you get 5 lines of errors for each command when all you nee is a Space at each comment

    #requires -Version 5
    #requires -RunAsAdministrator
    #requires -Module PowerShellGet
    #requires -Module PackageManagement

The lines should read like this, makes all the difference in the world to…

  6. Clarification on licensing of resources within the Stack

It is not always clear which licensing models can be used for which service. For example, how are the VMs hosting the App Service Resource Provider licensed? The documentation states this is a fully managed service, yet there are no details the license requirements for these VMs.

  7. Methodology or suggestion for Azure Stack SLA calculation

There is ongoing ask from Service Providers to equip them with methodology or guide how to calculate aggregated SLA for Azure Stack installations which these Service Providers are going to operate. It is obvious that there is no direct SLA commitment from Microsoft side for Azure Stack availability thus at least recommendations would be really helpful. Especially having in mind that Microsoft itself has tremendous experience to calculate SLA for its Azure DCs and Cloud Services – which hopefully can be somehow shared with Partner Ecosystem.

  8. Add Azure Stack in "Products available by region"

Our customer wants to know the difference between the services of Azure and the services of Azure Stack. If Azure stack is one of the Azure region, Azure Stack should be append to "Products available by region".

  9. Azure Stack Meter List per API

Expose data of https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-stack/azure-stack-usage-related-faq as a simple API (A json file containing the data was already enough).

The should be an automatic way to get Azure Stack Meters, as we expect this list to grow :)

  10. Azure Stack SDK is crazy big.

It would be great, if you could provide "feel like" azure stack, that would simulate tenant/tenant admin experience. 128GB RAM is overkill. 16/32GB would be great.
