  1. Bring back the rectangular marker from classic to multi-stage pipeline to mark the active deployment in the list of pipeline runs.

A small but very useful feature in the classic release pipeline of the Azure DevOps is the rectangular marker to indicate which deployment is currently active in a particular stage. This is gone with the introduction of multi-stage pipelines. Can we have this back?

  3. Managing Resources on K8 clusters on Stack and understanding the specifications

Azure Stack Edge(ASE) only has limited monitoring tools without Azure Kubernetes cluster admin access. More tools should be available for ASE without having admin access.

  4. HELM 2 vs HELM 3 on Azure Stack Edge (ASE)

Deploying containers using ASE into custom name space using HELM2 requires setup of tiller service which requires custom admin privileges, where as HELM 3 does not have the dependency to use tiller. Updated the documentation to use HELM3 and it does not need dependency to use tiller.

  5. Default Provider Subscription

Posted on behalf of TheOnlyWei (https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs-powershell/issues/1424).

Error messages from ARM are not always user-friendly and there is room for improvement here that would enhance the customer experience as well as decrease troubleshooting difficulty.

    Example screenshot attached.

Get-AzsAzureBridgeActivation returns "The resource namespace 'Microsoft.AzureBridge.Admin' is invalid.", which in this case is caused by not being in the "Default Provider Subscription" however this is not made clear to the user.

  6. MongoDB container Persistent Storage is incompatible with Azure Stack Edge Shares (SMB)

When deploying MongoDB container onto Azure Stack Edge with Persistent Storage, the Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) cannot be bound to Persistent Volume due to incompatibility with POSIX-compatible storage. Add the ability to deploy MongoDB with a persistent storage on Azure Stack Edge.

  7. Unclear networking topology to expose Azure Stack Edge (ASE) container node port

There is no documentation on setting up required node IP address and other settings on the network topology to expose Azure Stack Edge container node ports.

  8. Nested Virtualization

Stack includes several F*s_v2 machines with hyper-threading. Still, however, nested virtualization is not enabled. Having access to nested virtualization in Azure Stack would allow the use of third party tools that depend on nested virtualization. These tools are an important part of the development/test/deployment cycle.

  9. Option to Setup 2 or more NTP Servers

we are aware that if the NTP is not reachable, the system will run with the last synced date, but we would love to configure a fallback address in case of not availability of our primary NTP.

  10. Boot diagnostics for AKS cluster node pools

It would be great if we could enable boot diagnostics right at creation of AKS and AKS node pools. Right now it seems only be possible after creation of scalesets. So we have first to create AKS and then manually enable boot diagnostics.

  11. We should be able to put qouta on memory as like CPU & Storage

We have no option to limit the Memory usage on Azure Stack VMs. It should be great to have qouta on Memory also as like to CPU & Storage.

  13. Azure (Stack) Shared Disks

Request for shared disks in Azure Stack Hub. Would open the door to many more workload opportunities. example would be for migrating windows file servers to Azure Stack or using VM guest clustering

  15. Boot diagnostics not stopping after 5 minutes

Give users the option to use the old never stopping Boot Diagnostics or limit it to custom time.

  16. Bring Snapshot capability on Azure Stack

Azure Stack is not supporting Snapshot (Disk, Manage Disk, ...)

Out of the box backup capability are very limited (the sole option available consist to deploy an Agent on IaaS Virtual Machine to make some hybrod backup with an Azure Backup solution on the cloud and/or a 3rd party tool, but once again limited to what is "inside" a Virtual Machine + following Agent deployment on VM + interconnection with Backup Server Solution.

Snapshot support on Disk, Data, Storage Account will be a great feature to :
    * smooth difference with Public Cloud
    * ability to make "snapshot" manually by…

  17. Official twitter handle and youtube channel for Microsoft Azure Stack

Twitter and Youtube will help you to have two-way communication with your target audience by gathering insights or reviews to make the product better. Additionally, it will also enable you to better understand and reach out to a larger bandwidth of customer with exactly what they want.

  18. The possibility to assign an public ip adres from an different IP pool.

It is possible to add an new public IP pool, only it is not possible to assign an IP address from that new IP pool to a new customer by using an offer and network quote. Or by creating an VM with an Public IP address and have the possibility to chose an IP address from that new pool.

  19. Batch functionality with Azure Stack

Please consider adding Azure managed Batch Platform Service for autoscaling large-scale parallel high-performance computing applications. This would benefit organizations that collect and process high volumes of data in remote/offline locations.
