ASDK: Extended network connectivity
I like the default ASDK setup that do not need extended network knowledge to get it up and running. That should stay as it is.
At the other hand, more advanced network setups where connectivity outside the ASDK environment can be needed. Some use cases:
In our case we are running a Azure Stack proof-of-concept that includes connectivity to other systems and the internet
Development use case were you are developing / testing your application and the application need existing test systems that are outside the ASDF environment. Think of: enterprise message busses, datawarehouses / databases, integration with cloud services,…

Possibility to make more than one connection to an external VPN endpoint
At the moment it is not possible to create multiple connections to an external VPN endpoint from the Azure Stack VPN-gateway for all tenants on the stamp. We would like to see this fixed/improved.

Higher VPN bandwidth
VPN bandwidth seems to be at most 200Mbit/s. Achieving higher bandwidth over a VPN connection should be possible.

Support for IPv6 public facing IPs, both static and dynamic on Azure Stack
Azure provides support for IPv6 public facing IPs, both static and dynamic.
Havign equivalent features (IPv6) public facing IPs on Azure Stack (and without changing IPV4 on SDN) will allow us facilities vs ipv4-exhaustion on RIPE and Stack to make evolution on DC to support IPv6 on Regional Access Gateway, Router, Firewall around Stack to make it work.

Azure Stack Admin REST API - Add Tags within Public IP Addresses endpoint
We would like to make some automation on Azure Stack and PIP @ip address within Datacenter integration by using TAGS.
The REST API : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-ca/rest/api/azurestack/publicipaddresses/list?view=servicefabricactors-2.6.204 have tags properties available, but when we call the REST API Endpoint, the JSON response not reporting value setup within Stack :(
In term of usage, here 2 use cases.
use case 1 : if Public IP scenario is used for PIP and deployement, then by "default" the Public IP could be protected by Physical Firewall in front of Stack (ie Policy with low priority with Deny/Deny by default). Then, if the end user want…

Allowing Ping in Network Security Groups
Can Network Security Groups be configured with ICMP only instead of having to open up every port using * if you want to be able to ping. My client has an application that relies on ping to communicate between servers so they need this, but this renders the NSG useless

Add ability to report Public IP usage for Tenants for Billing Purposes
As a CSP we need to be able to report how many Public IPs our tenants are using.
We also need to be able to report which exact IPs are being allocated to specific tenants.
Currently we can only do it inside the Stack but it does not say which resource is using which IP.
None of the data from inside Azure Stack gets reported back via CSP Billing Portal.
Therefore, we not only cannot see who is using which IPs, but also are unable to bill for them.

Add PTR support for DNS resolution of the external facing infrastructure services in Azure Stack
Some customers may need to define firewall rules based on URLs rather than IP addresses. For this to work for the incoming traffic, PTR resolution must be available for the IP range used by the external facing infrastructure services of Azure Stack.

The possibility to assign an public ip adres from an different IP pool.
It is possible to add an new public IP pool, only it is not possible to assign an IP address from that new IP pool to a new customer by using an offer and network quote. Or by creating an VM with an Public IP address and have the possibility to chose an IP address from that new pool.

Allow any string in DNS Record Sets
Creating a A Record in the form of "foo.master.my.domain.com" results in an error on Azure Stack.
It seems the problem is the ".master." part, "foo.masterli.my.domain.com" works great.
This problem occures when creating a DNS record set via the Azure Stack Hub Portal within a DNS Zone Object, the Errormessage is "Error: error".
When using the Azure Stack API (using the Azure API docs located here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/dns/recordsets/createorupdate) via python, the response is a HTTP 404:
msrestazure.azure_exceptions.CloudError: 404 Client Error: Not Found for url: https://management.stack.my.domain.com/subscriptions/0xdeadbeef-subscription-id/resourceGroups/myResourceGroup/providers/Microsoft.Network/dnsZones/mydnszone.stack.my.domain.com/A/foo.master?api-version=2016-04-01
The old API version seen in the request was the only one that worked.
It should…

Please provide a way to quickly gather the MAC address of any VM, PIP, etc within the admin & tenant portals.
Some companies require tracking MAC addresses inside an IPAM system, having a quick way to obtain these would be helpful. I thought there was a way to do so prior to 1903 update? I can do so via PowerShell but its time consuming.

Azure Stack Meter for VPN SKU
For Multi-Tenant use uf Azure Stacks we use the meters to calculate and invoice end customers. Unfortunately there is no VPN SKU meter. So we don't know which customer is using which (or any) VPN SKU on Azure Stack. We need to have that meter to invoice correctly.
