Allow Azure SQL Database in Azure Stack to be used as part of an Active geo-replication strategy
Allow Azure SQL Database in Azure Stack to be configurable for use as part of an Active geo-replication strategy either in Azure regions or Azure Stack at another site; as according to what I've seen it's not configurable at all

Please can you provide more details on the scenarios as we do not currently have Azure SQL available on Azure Stack.
Thanks

In need there is no Azure SQl Database service in Azure Stack, sadly. Having SQL Database in Azure Stack is for the purpose we use Azure Stack a big must. Thiis would give the possibility to create a GEO redundant environment. either a mix of Azure Stack and Azure, or using two Azure Stack .
https://feedback.azure.com/forums/217321-sql-database/suggestions/11647095-bring-sql-databases-ms-sql-database-as-a-serviceIn my opinion it would be easier for Microsoft to add SQL Database to Azure Stack than to develop an intermediate solution to have GEO replication function between a SQL server instances in Azure Stack and SQL Database in Azure.
The scenarios we have in mind is a mix of environments between Azure Stack and Azure.
- Azure and Azure Stack
- Two Azure stacks in a GEO redundant set-up.
