  1. Allowing Ping in Network Security Groups

Can Network Security Groups be configured with ICMP only instead of having to open up every port using * if you want to be able to ping. My client has an application that relies on ping to communicate between servers so they need this, but this renders the NSG useless

  2. Allow self registration

Classes picked out and decided upon by self while others break. Those classes decided upon reflect self interest which is too greedy 60% of 90 Trillion. Allowable classes non-existant. Already decided on classes were what I attended. Despite all effort decisions were premade and those classes were possible to get to and attend the entire four years classes were attended. Schedule regarded and requested. Classes were not requested and pre-made schedule was enforced so that learning was possible and classes were offered.

  3. I do not know because I am registered with GIT Hub not Stack HUB

Registering for college classes I picked out not allowed. Attending required classes picked out by staff instead of requested classes. Already checked schedule and decided what is necessary but not allowed by those who know what they want. Am using GIT Hub not STACK HUB. Can register through Stack HUB. Attended classes someone else picked out through STACK HUB. I prefer GIT HUB.

  4. Generate Tenant's RAM and CPU usage without unlocking PEP

Currently, we are generating the RAM and CPU usage using unlocked PEP. We need to create a ticket to Microsoft to unlock PEP to be able to generate the report. Better if we can be able to get these values on our own and to generate this automatically on a daily basis.

  9. Allow any string in DNS Record Sets

Creating a A Record in the form of "foo.master.my.domain.com" results in an error on Azure Stack.

It seems the problem is the ".master." part, "foo.masterli.my.domain.com" works great.

This problem occures when creating a DNS record set via the Azure Stack Hub Portal within a DNS Zone Object, the Errormessage is "Error: error".

When using the Azure Stack API (using the Azure API docs located here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/dns/recordsets/createorupdate) via python, the response is a HTTP 404:

msrestazure.azure_exceptions.CloudError: 404 Client Error: Not Found for url: https://management.stack.my.domain.com/subscriptions/0xdeadbeef-subscription-id/resourceGroups/myResourceGroup/providers/Microsoft.Network/dnsZones/mydnszone.stack.my.domain.com/A/foo.master?api-version=2016-04-01

The old API version seen in the request was the only one that worked.

    It should…

  10. VM Sizes API is missing in Azure Stack "Microsoft.Compute/skus"

We would like to have the "Microsoft.Compute/skus" API for Azure Stack as this looks to be missing. This details are required to show option to user when only premium disk types are supported then to filter out the non premium flavors from list.

  11. I'd like to be able to have VM Generation as a parameter category to populate a column when exporting the VM lists to an excel sheet.

I'd like to have VM Generation categorized as a pull-able parameter in power shell when exporting the VM list to CSV, kind of like how Tags are pull-able in this regard.

So something like Get-AzResource -ResourceType Microsoft.Compute/virtualMachines -Generation

Or something like that. I'm sure ya'll understand what I'm asking for.

  12. allow test-netconnection

To allow test-netconnection cmdlets to be usable in PEP session without unlocking. mainly to test port connectivity in case of any future features added in azure stack.

  14. Managing Resources on K8 clusters on Stack and understanding the specifications

Azure Stack Edge(ASE) only has limited monitoring tools without Azure Kubernetes cluster admin access. More tools should be available for ASE without having admin access.

  15. HELM 2 vs HELM 3 on Azure Stack Edge (ASE)

Deploying containers using ASE into custom name space using HELM2 requires setup of tiller service which requires custom admin privileges, where as HELM 3 does not have the dependency to use tiller. Updated the documentation to use HELM3 and it does not need dependency to use tiller.

  16. Persistent Volumes do not get released after consecutive re-deployments of a helm chart on Azure Stack Edge

The Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) cannot be bound to Persistent Volume (PV) once it is deployed, deleted and then deployed and Helm Chart is stuck in a pending state. Persistent Volume should be released after deleting the deployment of the Helm Chart to bind to the PV without issue when the chart is re-deployed.

  17. Default Provider Subscription

Posted on behalf of TheOnlyWei (https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/azure-docs-powershell/issues/1424).

Error messages from ARM are not always user-friendly and there is room for improvement here that would enhance the customer experience as well as decrease troubleshooting difficulty.

    Example screenshot attached.

Get-AzsAzureBridgeActivation returns "The resource namespace 'Microsoft.AzureBridge.Admin' is invalid.", which in this case is caused by not being in the "Default Provider Subscription" however this is not made clear to the user.

  18. MongoDB container Persistent Storage is incompatible with Azure Stack Edge Shares (SMB)

When deploying MongoDB container onto Azure Stack Edge with Persistent Storage, the Persistent Volume Claim (PVC) cannot be bound to Persistent Volume due to incompatibility with POSIX-compatible storage. Add the ability to deploy MongoDB with a persistent storage on Azure Stack Edge.

  20. Bring back the rectangular marker from classic to multi-stage pipeline to mark the active deployment in the list of pipeline runs.

A small but very useful feature in the classic release pipeline of the Azure DevOps is the rectangular marker to indicate which deployment is currently active in a particular stage. This is gone with the introduction of multi-stage pipelines. Can we have this back?
