  1. Allow aligning fault domains and update domains in an availability set

In certain cases I want to manage the availability of data replicas across a cluster of machines, and can endure more downtime for greater predictability of the nature of downtime.
An example is Kafka, where I can handle a large portion of machines going down so long as I can make predictions of how they'll be correlated so I can plan how I lay out topic partitions to keep a majority of partitions up.

With the way availability sets are currently set up, I can limit my downtime in case of a fault, or in case of an upgrade, but…

  2. Add the "created by" and "created on" metadata to Azure objects

It would be helpful for each object in Azure to have the account that created the object and the date/time of the creation imbedded in the metadata for the object. This would avoid the current method of having to get that information from the Activity Log and store it somewhere else that is more permanent.

  3. Improve Free/Trial/Entry level offers

Azure is prohibitively expensive for small businesses and new/poor developers.

£150 for 30 days is not long enough to get up and running and to make a viable website/app to cover the costs.

    Suggestions:
-Allow users to use the free credits over 12 or 6 or even 3 months.
-Or return to your previous offer with free monthly credits for a year.
-Or offer SSL on the shared plan. (sites without SSL are not an option)

£50-£60/pm for a basic website with custom domain and SSL is ridiculous.

I feel my only option is to abandon Azure and look at…

  4. Make Azure DevOps Agents an Azure Trusted Service

Make Azure DevOps Agents an Azure Trusted Service.
It is very frustating having to code workaround because of this, i.e. when there are firewall rules for key vault or storage.

  5. Stricter UD Walk Time Frames

Currently, UD walk's seem to happen at any random time. Which for web app's that are on a single instance can mean downtime during the cold boot phase. These should really be applied out of hours/early morning (time zone dependant on your service plan location) to avoid major disruption. In a particular instance, we had 3 UD walk's within 2 days during normal business hours. I know this can be avoided by scaling the instances but really shouldn't have to be a requirement.

  6. AAS as a Data Source.

    Hi Team,

Currently Azure is not supporting AAS as a datasource. Suppose i created the Datamodel in AAS and i want to use same in another AAS model, it is not working. Can we have any idea when it will support AAS as a datasource

  7. Popout PrimaryResult Page on Kusto.Explorer

Kusto.Explorer already has the ability to popout(float) certain windows, Query Summary, QueryStatus, etc... However, the PrimaryResult tab does not as they are grayed out. Adding this feature would mean you could have more screen space for writing queries and seeing the results.

  8. Modify QnA Maker provisioning process to support selection of an existing App Service Plan instead of a new App Service Plan being created

Provisioning a QnA Maker Service provisions a Public App Service App <yourAppsName>.azurewebsites.net, but you are not given any control over the App Service Plan for which the App Service resides. My first choice would actually be an App Service Plan in our ASE environment, but if that isn’t doable at least let us select one of our existing public App Service plans to host this in.

A 1-1 ratio of App Service Plan to App Service is extremely inefficient.

  9. Allow tenant admins to manage Enterprise State Roaming data

Allow tenant admins to manage/delete/clear Enterprise State Roaming data. Furthermore allow users to manage their own data, e.g. managing Wi-Fi profiles/networks etc.

  10. GiveSetting to increase the mod_security limit for following attributes : SecRequestBodyLimit 536870912 SecRequestBodyNoFilesLimit 536870912

we hosted application in Azure VM and configured WAF Application Gateway. But we are getting following error

Request body no files data length is larger than the configured limit (131072).. Deny with code (413)

For this we done so much googling and found the solution that we need to increase following parameters in the application gateway. If not possible then need configuration to by pass this limit checking so our application will not stuck because sometime application need to send request with this length.

Request to increase the mod_security limit for following attributes : SecRequestBodyLimit 536870912 SecRequestBodyNoFilesLimit 536870912

    Many others…

  11. [ASE] Improve the ASE Scaling operation time

Scaling out our App Service plans in an App Service Environment can take over 30 minutes normally (sometimes >50mins). it's very impact the ASE application availability, we would like to know is there other way to reduce the time? Like:

    1) Is there any pre-allocated settings in ASE?
    2) Is there any action/plan to optimized the scaling time?

    thanks in advance.

  12. Add PowerShell commands to manage "Users flagged for risk" in Azure AD

I have quite a few users who have been tagged as "Users flagged for risk" in Azure AD. I'd like to be able to "Dismiss all events" for those users that were "Last updated" more than XX days ago. It seems I can only do this via the web GUI one user at a time. This stinks. This particular report had gone unwatched for a bit. PowerShell to the rescue please!

  13. enable Azure MFA server to accept RADIUS attribute 31 for trusted IP evaluation.

Currently the RADIUS client must send the authenticating user's IP address via attribute 66 for Azure MFA RADIUS server to correctly evaluate trusted IP addresses. It would be tremendously helpful if that was configurable so that an admin could select a different RADIUS attribute (such as 31) for trusted IP evaluation. We use a NetScaler gateway and it will currently only send RADIUS attribute 31 (Calling-Station-Id) to the RADIUs server. Quick fix I presume!

  14. Allow Finance Teams to access invoices

It should be possible to add secondary users to the account administrator page so that Finance teams can manage invoices. Curently we have to login, download the invoice then forward it to finance. This is inefficient

  15. MCAS File policy supports Google Drive with specified Folder

MCAS File policy with specified folder now supports Box, SharePoint, DropBox and OneDrive.

Could you consider to support Google Drive.

  16. Add ssh public key in metadata 169.254.169.254

When querying for http://169.254.169.254/metadata/instance?api-version=2017-04-02 in an instance, we can't get the public ssh key to configure the instance. When not using the linux agent, it could be nice to be able to access this user data. FYI AWS & Aliyun already does this (it's an entry called public-keys)

  17. Machine Learning workbench connection request

Machine Learning workbench requires Internet connection, but please also support connection via VPN and via Express Route.

Also, I want you to be able to use some functions even in an environment without internet connection.

  18. Provide list of SKUs for resource type through Azure REST API

While provisioning resources using Azure REST APIs. One of the required thing is SKU. We have no API that provides list of available SKUs (if applicable) for provided resource type.

We badly need this as there is no way to get always up to date list of SKU.

  19. Please open a French Azure Datacenter

France has many laws regarding datas security, and in some sector like healthcare, it's impossible to host stuff outside of France.

I'd be a very good news for us that Microsoft could open a datacenter in France :)
