  1. The error text is misleading.

    The following error text appeared during the platform side upgrade.

    Your applicaiton process was restared as Application environment variables changed. can most likely occur due to update in app setting or swap operation.

    This is mistakenly thought to be due to an operation on the customer's side.

    The application process has been resumed because the application environment variables have been changed. This is due to an update or swap operation of the application settings due to an operation performed by the foundation or by the customer. It is likely to occur.

  2. Expose subscription admin access in PIM

    Currently, Subscription-level admins aren't exposed in PIM. Appears to be a big blind-spot if they aren't covered for elevation & access review workflows.

  3. Provide a better error message when creating a Private Endpoint on a subnet that contains a Private link

    We were trying to a Key vault with a Private Endpoint from the portal and it fails with the error:

  4. Privatelink for keyvault FQDN displays incorrectly

    The FQDN for keyvault privateLink is displaying incorrectly in the portal. The FQDN for the private link shows .vaultcore.azure.net, but should only reflect the name of the keyvault, .vault.azure.net. Other services with private link such as storage show as *.blob.core.windows.net and are resolvable. The privateLink FQDN for keyvault should work the same. Please see the attached images showing an example of the correctly keyvault FQDN shown for the keyvault resource and the incorrect FQDN shown for the private link.

  5. Allow a comment block in Azure Policy

    Allow those writing Azure Policy to document their config files like developers would document code with comments. Simply allow including "comment":{} and ignore it.

    I would like to be able to do something like this:

    "comment":{

    "CreatedOn": "7/30/2020",

    "Purpose": "Block changes that would take the configuration out of a state of compliance with policy XYZ",
    "ItemsBlocked":[
    "Turning off logging",
    "Turning off https",
    "Turning on remote debugging"
    ],
    "PointOfContact": "If you have concerns about this policy please contact the security and compliance team"

    }

  7. Enable cluster visualization (or a dump of centroid and point coordinates for self plotting) like in classic.

    In classic ML studio one could visualize the resultant clusters after completion of a K-Means run. I've not yet been able to find that, or at least plot data of the same run in the new ml.azure.com.

  8. programmatic subscription creation

    Track usage of programmatic subscription creation quota

    Per documentation, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/programmatically-create-subscription?tabs=azure-cli, there is a limit of 2000 subscriptions you can create per enrollment account. This is a cumulative limit (i.e. if you create 1000 subscriptions and delete them, you can still only create 1000 additional subscriptions programmatically).

    There is no way currently (that we can find) to see what our usage is against that limit either in the Azure portal (portal.azure.com) or in the EA portal (ea.azure.com).

    We are requesting that a way be provided/exposed to access this information.

  9. Azure Services by Region - Indicate those Regions that are mandatory for a service

    We enabled a Policy to allow only certain Azure regions to our corporate users. However, we discovered through troubleshooting an issue that some Azure services must have certain regions allowed in order to be deployed. This is not clear to the customer beforehand.
    For example QnA Maker must allowed US WEST as a region for deployment.
    I recommend you update this information ( https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/global-infrastructure/services/?products=cognitive-services ) with an indicator marking REQUIRED REGION(S) for each service that has such a requirement.

    Thanks

  10. Limit Azure Preview services to our Production Users

    Running a production environment, we don’t want users to be able to run anything that is in preview. That can be a preview service, preview option, preview enhancement. Basically anything that MS has marked as Preview. Maybe there is a way to prevent it at the portal level or another way besides a policy?

  11. Define DWU clearly to do a cost estimation before purchasing.

    AWS clearly define its nodes. Please do the same to make the life of Solution Architects easier.
    This comes all the time as a "Con" in Azure Synapse assessment.

  12. Option to Disable/Enable Storage Account's Primary/Secondary access Keys

    I think it would be great if a customer can disable or enable their storage accounts access key when ever they want.
    Scenarios:
    - A cx found their access key was leaked, and they can not get the key back if they regenerate.
    - And there are lots of Applications and not sure how many applications are using that key, so they can get the list of outages by disabling for few minutes during off business hours and can enable them back in business hours while they are updating the applications with secondary key one by one as it might…

  13. Managed FTP Service

    I wish there was a managed FTP Service like AWS.

    https://aws.amazon.com/aws-transfer-family/?whats-new-cards.sort-by=item.additionalFields.postDateTime&whats-new-cards.sort-order=desc

    That would be great if it can also talk to Azure Storage Accounts (File/File Sync, Blob, Table, Queue) for a true serverless solution.

  15. Azure Files - add a feature to search all Azure Files Backup snapshots for specific files/folders

    When multiple snapshots are available but the the date/time when a file/folder to be restored is not known, each snapshot needs to be searched manually to find the file/folder to be restored.
    The suggested feature would enable the file/folder to be located from the multiple snapshots.
    Thanks

  16. Provide options in the Azure User Interface so that Azure App Service certificates can be exported with a password

    Dear Microsoft Azure Team,

    Based on my communication with Microsoft Azure Support and their positive feedback and suggestion to post to this forum, I would like to submit my idea for adding an option to the Azure user interface that allows export of an Azure App Service certificate with a user-supplied password.

    Currently, Azure App Service certificates are exported without a password and this is not very secure. Moreover, the usually suggested existing methods for adding a password to a certificate after the certificate's export from the Azure App Service are cumbersome and risky because their complexity can lead to…

    I didn't find the application data on the "/mnt/resource" path after started the VM today.As per microsoft its a temporary disk and after restarting the we will loose the data,My question if its temporary disk then why it is showing better not to keep something as temporaray disk,Its E8sV3 instance series with linux OS

    Please figure out why this has happened and let us know how to recover if possible. There was more than 25 GB data I transferred from TCL servers to this VM and that took me almost a week.

  18. Add exemption for Security Center Recommendations

    Hi, i would like to suggest adding the possibility to exempt resources that are unhealthy in Security Center Recommendations section. Currently if i try to add an exemption to an unhealthy resource (for example Log Analytics agent needs to be installed), then i get the message "This resource isn't linked to any Azure policy assignment". This might have worked with the default ASC policy attached, but we are not using this due to there are too many policies not useful for our situation.

    Kind Regards,

    Chun Teng Chiu

  19. Please Allow the Removal of Old Bitlocker Keys from Azure AD

    According to the Microsoft Rep I spoke to, the only way to remove stale bitlocker recovery keys from devices within AzureAD is to remove the device itself.
