Zoom meeting doesn’t show videos? Here is the solution.
Restart your computer
As with many software issues, when fixing the Zoom problem that can’t detect a camera or video that isn’t working, a great first step is to restart your computer.
What the reboot does is it updates the system and fixes minor software conflicts that may be causing the issues. Therefore, when you experience the Zoom video not working, please restart your computer or do it manually.
Close the client and turn off your machine. Wait a few seconds for the computer to turn off completely, and then turn it on again. Test your Zoom video again if the video is displayed now. If the problem persists, continue with our troubleshooting guide.
Reinstall the Windows Zoom client
Press the Windows key to open the Start menu.
Scroll down the list of apps on the Start menu, locate the Zoom folder, and then click to reveal the Start Zoom icon.
Then right-click the Start Zoom icon and press Uninstall.
A pop-up window will appear asking if you want to allow the application to make changes to your PC. Click OK to authorize the uninstallation.
The uninstall progress will be displayed on your screen. Wait for it to complete.
Finally, restart your computer to finish uninstalling Zoom and remove all components.
If restarting your computer doesn’t fix the problem and the Zoom meeting still doesn’t show video, then uninstall the Zoom client from Windows and reinstall it on your system.
When your PC restarts, download and install Zoom again. Try it now to see if reinstallation has solved your problem with the Zoom video not working. If not, continue with the next troubleshooting step.
Close other applications that have access to your camera.
Zoom may not be able to detect a camera if the webcam is currently activated with a different program. Other programs like Skype may be using the computer’s camera, and if this is the case, Zoom won’t be able to use the camera at the same time.
To see the applications that have access to or are using your camera, press the Windows key, and navigate to Settings> Privacy> Camera.
