Simplify Azure certification
Currently, Azure certification for Developer Az204 covers topics spread out over hundreds of Microsoft documentation web pages.
Simplify the certification.
Asking questions on what is the name of the API method to do Azure operation X does not test knowledge, it tests rote memorization.
It also expects API method name, AZ command line parameter name memorization for each of the areas on the exam.
Memorizing the hundreds of combinations of Powershell and C# ways to interact with Azure is not a good path towards certification.
Give the Azure developer certification in parts where the highest score from each part goes into your final certification score. If I take the test twice, take the highest score from each section from all the tests for my final score.
Specifically exclude parts of each of the major areas from testing. The certification should show proficiency and knowledge of Azure which indicates that a person holding the certification can learn areas not covered in the Azure Developer certification test
Important: There are literally thousands of questions similar to the example ones provided by Microsoft which could be on the test. This is unreasonable to expect test takers to know a sizable subset of them.
A full stack developer as encompassed by the Azure developer certification was the equivalent of at least three persons full time jobs 15 years ago.
Why should this now be required of one person? The scope or knowledge is broader than it was 15 years ago.
Case in point, list the topics included in the exam then list the different scenarios for each - one time in PowerShell and one time in C#.
