Make it easier for nonprofit to renew sponsorship and see how to do this
As a nonprofit approaches the end of a year's sponsorship we receive an email warning that the sponsorship will end and be converted to pay as you go. This is alarming for small charities as we do not have the funds to continue operating on this basis and sponsorship is an essential (and very welcome) offering by Microsoft.
However, the route to renewing sponsorship each year is tortuous, poorly documented, and left to the last minute. It would be preferable if there was a seamless path from within the Azure Billing and Subscriptions->Sponsorship page in the portal to be alerted each year that the sponsorship period is ending with an immediate button to 'renew sponsorship'.

Gary, I totally agree. Have just closed a case with support where renewal benefit failed to attach to existing or then even a new subscription. It took 3 week to sort out. Microsoft encountered a 'bug' trying to do it too. In the meantime my own credit card got charged which fortunately they reversed.
The invitation email was poorly presented and took me to the sponsorship website where there was no mention of Azure benefit. I did find where to go but that's because I had done the process several times before. Then it didn't work! Open a ticket.
The non-profits I support really appreciate and rely on the generous benefits offered but the experience could be so much better in several ways, without too much effort.
I agree with everything you've said and other comments.
So suggestion... in the first instance, an invitation email to renew. Takes you to a page. 'Do you wish to renew?' Yes. Simple. Done. Or... 'Do you wish to want to explore other options?'
i have to renew now. We need this!
