block access to active directory by default for .edu accounts
I signed up for Azure for students.
Saw I had access to my college's active directory including being able to see all users and PII.
Perhaps microsoft should by default block access to active directory for "free student tier" users that are tied to their schools Azure account and not depend on colleges to know how to set up their domains properly to do so.
Maybe secure by default, no access to the AD page of Azure for students that sign up for free Azure with their college would be the best option here?
I've been locked out of Azure for several weeks because no one in IT knows how to plug that hole.
Now I have to pay for Azure Pay-As-You-Go to finish my assignments when this seems like a problem that should be fixed in minutes instead of weeks or best option just blocked by default so that when a student signs up their account is limited and does not have access to the colleges Active Directory.
