when a server shuts down unintentionally due to a host outage, please notify all customers affected.
Currently MS Azure notifies customers during scheduled outages, however, in the event of an emergency outage, where a customer's server is rebooted, (due to a host hardware failure, or whatever), all customers affected should be notified as a courtesy. We had an outage and had our services not started currently due to a password issues, we would have known that the server went down.
We had network problem. then we redeploy vm.
We opened SR and MS reported me host issue.
However, Microsoft told me that there was no process to inform all affected customers of the host problem.
This is a very important issue.

We had the same problem. As a healing process MS Azure moved our VM to healthier hardware. We were not informed as part of this automated process. This seems strange as MS Azure know this process will affect the running of a customer's VM does not notify the customer. This then requires the customer to raise a service request to gain knowledge of the event.
