  1. Customized Application ID

    Azure Application ID

    Hi Team,

I would like to have a customizable application ID for registered applications in Azure Portal. Instead of system generated GUID, we can use our naming convention to simply things on our end and help our customers (internal application teams) to tagged it easily on their end.

Another benefit for us is with the clean-up. It automatically help us identify who owns the application id.

  2. Better memory per core ratio for Azure SQL

Provide more options for a better memory to CPU core ratio. I thought the 7GB/vCore for Gen4 was low, but Gen5 has an even lower ratio at 5GB/vCore. When I drop $1000/vCore/month on a SQL Server, I expect it to have more than 7GB/vCore.

  3. Provide a Conditional Access option to choose whether or not to allow PRT to satisfy an MFA requirement.

Our position is that having MFA satisfied by claim via PRT and TPM creates CA Policy loophole.
When a device is hybrid joined to Azure AD and the TPM sensor has been enabled, the PRT is able to satisfy the MFA request from a Conditional Access rule. This creates a vulnerability as it bypasses the CA rules that are configured to intentionally and explicitly require MFA. An example of this is where a user has a laptop and has previously signed in successfully. If the valid user’s session were to become compromised, an attacker could operate within the trusted profile…

  4. Automatic Visio Diagrams

The ability to automatically generate basic Visio Diagrams based on the resources deployed within a Resource Group.

Maybe some options to have server diagrams, network diagrams, storage diagrams, etc.

  5. Azure Synapse notebooks parameters/arguments

In order to build dynamic pipelines we need to be able to assign parameters/arguments to notebooks. These parameters should be set in the pipelines and passed as arguments to the notebook during the pipeline execution, just like it already exists to execute Databricks notebooks with parameters.

  6. Enable Oauthentication 2.0 on Power Automate Service Now Connector

The Service Now Connector only support Basic Authentication.
In our company the Infosec team do not allow any connection with Basic Auth.
For that reason is very important enable another authentication method

  7. rewrite the Azure CLI in Golang.

I tweeted about this somewhat jokingly and @AzureSupport directed me here. I imagine you plan on supporting and maintaining the Azure CLI for at least the next decade, and I can virtually guarantee that the total cost of doing so will be less if you rewrite in Go now. It will also be faster, easier to install, and generally provide a better experience for your users and developers. You've got some avid gophers at MSFT like Brian Ketelsen, Ashley McNamara, Jess Frazelle, etc. Ask them what they think!

  8. When moving a resource

When moving a resource (or resource group) to a new subscription.
ask for real movement after the validation, this would enable a dry test upfront for planning

  9. Implement Password Writeback healthy support through MPN Portal

I would like to inquire about an issue in the CSP portal.
For an end customer with the Self Service and Password Write Back feature enabled in Azure AD, the correct helathy status is being showed up as working,, this is only being displayed when the tenant is accessed directly through the Azure Portal (portal.azure.com), form the end user perspective.
If the customer environment is accessed from the partner portal, the same features are being showed as "not working".

This will undoubtedly cause issues for engineers that are trying to essentially fix an issue that is not really broken.
    And…

  10. EA: Managing subscriptions operations by multiple users, not by single account owner

This is regarding Azure account & subscription management in Enterprise Agreement
There is a scenario where the account owner is not available for considerable long time due to his/her sick/vacation leave or long biz trip for example, which cause subscriptions operations downtime.
To avoid that, we should be able to have multiple users for such subscriptions operations.

  11. Support using Azure SignalR in ASP.NET (OWIN)

Azure SignalR SDK only runs on ASP.NET Core, which is a blocker for lots of companies / existing projects.

Please also support ASP.NET (OWIN runtime).

  12. Add manual and auto shutdown to Azure Container Service

Would be great to be able to shutdown all compute within an ACS cluster, both manually in the portal, and via an auto shutdown schedule. As it is currently you have to manually shut down the master VM and the VM Scale Sets.

  13. Update status of invoice in Azure portal

Currently, in invoice blade on Azure portal, the status of invoice won't be changed from due to paid if the payment was delay. So it got confused to know if the payment has been processed or not. Please improve this status to follow the payment status which is good to check payment.
    Thanks.

  15. Allow Azure CDN to display the Twitter card

Currently, any Microsoft Standard CDN powered website will not allow the Twitterbot to access the required meta tags for displaying a Twitter card. This is a huge setback for anyone looking to promote their Azure-powered site on Twitter.

Can you please allow the Twitterbot to display the Twitter card?

    For reference: https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/127812/twitter-cannot-fetch-content-from-our-domain-hosted-on-an-azure-cdn-even-though

  16. Popout PrimaryResult Page on Kusto.Explorer

Kusto.Explorer already has the ability to popout(float) certain windows, Query Summary, QueryStatus, etc... However, the PrimaryResult tab does not as they are grayed out. Adding this feature would mean you could have more screen space for writing queries and seeing the results.

  17. Allow tenant admins to manage Enterprise State Roaming data

Allow tenant admins to manage/delete/clear Enterprise State Roaming data. Furthermore allow users to manage their own data, e.g. managing Wi-Fi profiles/networks etc.

  18. Add PowerShell commands to manage "Users flagged for risk" in Azure AD

I have quite a few users who have been tagged as "Users flagged for risk" in Azure AD. I'd like to be able to "Dismiss all events" for those users that were "Last updated" more than XX days ago. It seems I can only do this via the web GUI one user at a time. This stinks. This particular report had gone unwatched for a bit. PowerShell to the rescue please!

  19. enable Azure MFA server to accept RADIUS attribute 31 for trusted IP evaluation.

Currently the RADIUS client must send the authenticating user's IP address via attribute 66 for Azure MFA RADIUS server to correctly evaluate trusted IP addresses. It would be tremendously helpful if that was configurable so that an admin could select a different RADIUS attribute (such as 31) for trusted IP evaluation. We use a NetScaler gateway and it will currently only send RADIUS attribute 31 (Calling-Station-Id) to the RADIUs server. Quick fix I presume!

  20. Standard rules engine for Azure CDN: remove limitation of 5 rules per endpoint

The new Rules Engine for Azure CDN Standard is definitely a long awaited improvement to Azure's offering for hosting single page applications / static websites.

After trying it out in a real project though it has currently one limitation which is a showstopper at the moment:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cdn/cdn-standard-rules-engine-reference#terminology

"Each Azure CDN endpoint can have up to five rules."

Let's say you have a multilangual front end app (SPA) which serves the different language versions as relative paths from under the same subdomain (CDN endpoint). And you naturally want to enforce all those lang specific sites to rewrite to their corresponding index.html…
