  1. Make Azure Key Vault Secrets accessible through Excel VBA Shell() command

I would like to see Azure Key Vault be able to return a secret as a string to Excel VBA using "Shell()". This would allow users to access passwords and secrets using Excel macros or any other application that allows for "Shell()" and would broaden the uses for the Key Vault across the MS platfrom.

  2. Azure Cosmos DB

on cosmos db there should be an option to get the response without system generated key values which could reduce the ru consumption

  4. Perform Microsoft Authenticator Backup in OneDrive

First of all: Managed Open is active in our infrastructure.
All Microsoft apps are located in the business container on the iOS device.

It is currently not possible to back up the account information of the "Authenticator" app.
iCloud does not work due to Managed Open in (private container) and OnDrive is not available.

I am aware that you want to prevent business data from being backed up in a private area, but if the Authenticator App and OnDrive App are both in the business container, the account information can be saved in the business OneDrive account.

  5. Have other side of earth region pairs

After reading about region pairs, I am not sure if you have the following. If there was a huge EM pulse from the sun or other, it would only affect one entire side of the earth at a time yes? If so, wouldn’t you want to pair with a data centre on the exact opposite side of the earth so it is shielded?

  7. Enable Clone App for Linux Azure App Service

    Hi,

Right now, the App Cloning feature is only available for Windows App Service. It could be really great to enable it for Linux content too.

The feature would be very usefull in order to change the App Service Plan of a running Linux App Service, without any recreation.

If we want to change the Plan for an Linux App Service we must choose an App Service Plan in the same deployment or recreate it.
The App Cloning feature would allow Finops optimisation becoming way more easier.

    Regards

  8. Allow provisioning of users in Azure US Government Environment

Currently we are using SCIM for Genesys for PureCloud App in Azure which allows SSO and provisioning of users from Azure AD. This is working well in the General Azure but it is not available in the Azure US Government Environment.

  9. Monitor preview feature usage across Azure enrolments

There is currently no ability to view the active usage of Azure (both private and public) preview features across an organization (i.e. per EA enrolment). The Azure administrator is thus unaware who is trialing what and whether any preview capabilities are being used for production purposes. This may introduce operational and commercial risks.

  11. to provide a notification if the PrivateEndpoint require any Azure managed A record in the Private DNS zone

Currently we had a customer reported a issue that when they created a Private DNS zone for "privatelink.monitor.azure.com" before created the actual private endpoint for Azure monitor service, they were not able to resolve the FQDN "dc.services.visualstudio.com" any more.
The investigation showed that the FQDN "dc.services.visualstudio.com" had a CNAME record to "global.in.ai.privatelink.monitor.azure.com". Thus the empty private DNS zone led to the DNS issue.
But if we create the private endpoint for Azure monitor service and let Azure create the related private DNS zone, Azure will automatically create the A record for "global.in.ai" along with other 4 A records.

    So to…

  13. Azure SLA - Downtime report ( xls)

We have deployed our large application platform on Azure. It uses combination of Azure IaaS and Paas Services.
To report the SLA and availability of all azure services between a begin and end date , we need a downloadable report
which provides information about which services/components were down/unavailable. Service Health functionality of Azure has the
needed data but it’s not friendly enough to know all the cases of unavailability / issues between a begin and end date.

Hence , propose a new function which provides Azure SLA - Downtime report ( xls). It’s columns could be
    Date , Azure Service…

  14. Azure WAN Default route or custom route should have an option to force the traffic to it's VPN Gateway or ER gateway as they 2 instances

Not sure if it possible to route a traffic to one of the instance and separate the traffic in between VPN gateway Instances. If that becomes possible it would be most effective way to segregate the routing and packets

  17. Add a "Blob Storage Connection Status" to the diagnostic tools for Function Apps

Recently we encountered an issue where blobs in an "azure-webjobs" container (used by Azure Functions) were placed into the "Archive" access tier automatically by a rule configured in our storage account.

This resulted in us being unable to list or add function keys to our function app instance in the Azure portal, receiving only a nondescript "internal server error" message.

It also resulted in all invocations of functions on that instance responding with a 500 error (and no further information), and the invocations not appearing in the AppInsights logs.

As we had no information in the error messages we were…
