  1. Add Azure Policies for Azure migrated machines

    At this moment, when using the Azure Migrate appliance, some field in the virtual machine configuration remain empty.
    {

    "Name": "vw330anl",

    "offer": null,
    "publisher": null,
    "sku": null,
    "version": null

    },

    Since Azure Policy relies on these fields, at this moment Any configuration to these migrated machines fail to deploy automatically. It would be nice if MIcrosoft would add new policy initiatives that rely on other fields that are being filled when using Azure Migrate.
    Now we have to manually deploy Agents, add machines to Security Center etc. etc. etc.

  2. TAG Sync Groups in Azure File Sync

    To be able to distribute costs I would lice to tag the sync groups so I do not have to create x number of storage accounts, sync groups etc.

  3. allow visibility over costs of current azure resources under a sponsorship

    Our sposnorship sub is about to expire and roll over to PAYG. We have no way of understanding the new costs without using the calculator tool. There should be some way to see the monthly cost in the same way we do in the cost management blade, based on the current PAYG subscription? Having to reselect all resources using the pricing calculator is particularly onerous and needing to wait until after the sponsorship lapses doesn’t provide an opportunity to plan/budget based on current costs. This seems like a deficiency in the Azure platform,

  4. Give your Twitter support team a bonus

    My website went down tonight (Sunday). I’m only a tiny organisation, but I’m launching a COVID campaign tomorrow. No developers available and I’m no techie. Contacted Azure Support on Twitter, as had no idea what else to do. They were absolutely brilliant. If you have a recognition system, please submit this for them. Thank you. Ian

  5. Ability to extend encrypted system drive for a Windows VM

    When Bitlocker encrypts a disk it adds a small partition at the end. If I need to extend a C: drive in Windows I'm unable to do so with native means after increasing the disk size in azure because I'm unable to move that small system partition to the end of unallocated space.
    Need an ability to extend system drive even if it's encrypted. Rebuilding VMs each time is not a scalable solution.

  6. Application Gateway Reverse Proxy capability

    Currently i don't believe the Azure Application gateway (WAF V2) has reverse proxy capability like a dedicated nginx VM, which fetches data from a backend or some external website and displays content in the frontend URL which does not change in the URL bar.

    E.g. Proxy all requests from https://www.abcd.com/test to get a response from backend (or external website) at https://example.com and display the content from https://example.com at https://www.abcd.com/test

    abcd.com for e.g. is an Azure web app, and example.com is some third party from whom we wish to display content from.

    Or am i wrong, and we do have some…

  7. Complete ARM Template Validation

    The Resource Manager Template for Log Analytics does not fully validate all keys. This is a suggestion to do so.

    Issue: Deploying an ARM template (in Blueprints) with an invalid proptery does not throw an error but allows the deployment to complete. In my case, the property "retention" was used but only "retentionInDays" is supported.

  8. Custom role to manage alerts and diagnostic settings without requiring subscription-level role assignment

    While trying to grant a user the ability to configure and manage diagnostic alerts on a resource, we were informed by MS support that we had to assign the user the Log Analytics Contributor role at the subscription level. This then granted the user the ability to browse all resources in the subscription and even shut down VMs. There needs to be a way to allow a user to manage alerts on specific resources without granting them access to everything else.

  9. From the portal UI, ability to attach NSG to a subnet on vNet creation.

    For the portal UI, you cannot attach a NSG to a subnet while creating a vNet. The API allows this. The reason this would be useful is because we want to create an Azure Policy that requires an NSG to be attached to all subnets (exception being the GatewaySubnet). This policy would prevent us from creating a vNet via the portal UI since you can't attach a NSG to a subnet on vNet creation.

  10. Set a Private Endpoint's IP address type to be grayed out/not accessible.

    As per document https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/private-link/private-endpoint-overview#private-endpoint-properties when a private endpoint is created , the resource is in read-only mode and cannot be changed. However the portal shows it as if it is just a regular network resource and we can change from Dynamic to Static IP.I understand the situation, but is it possible to change this , so no one gets confused?

  11. Update and Maintain ADF Pop Location Abbreviations

    ADF logs provide abbreviations for the POP location where requests were processed, however, there is no up to date list of the abbreviations to their corresponding locations.

    This document from early 2018 is out of date and incomplete.

  13. 'Action Required' email notification; Billing

    Received an email stating that payment was received, but you need help in applying it to the open invoices - if no action is taken, the account is at risk of being disabled.

    This email was received when we still were WITHIN the 30 day 'payment terms'.
    Would be nice to actually know what kind of time frame we're talking before the account is disabled, so that we have an understanding of how imminent this is - we've never seen this email before and thought that disabling the account was 'around the corner'.

  14. Enterprise Applications - admin consent workflow email notifications to a non-admin account

    We allow our users to request Enterprise Applications in Azure AD but require admin consent. In order to receive email notifications of admin consent requests you can select consent reviewers. Consent reviewer accounts must be members of one of the following AAD roles: Global Administrator, Application Administrator or Cloud Administrator.

    This requirement contradicts security best practices of not mail enabling admin accounts.

    Would like ability to configure admin consent workflow email notifications to a non-administrator accounts.

  15. Upgrade page text

    The upgrade page is asking for the customer to choose the support plan. There is no clear instructions that one has to choose an option in support plan to upgrade as pay as you go.

  17. Scope Reservation to Virtual Machine

    Currently the most granulate scope level is resouce group. It would be helpful if reservations could be scoped to specific virtual machines.

  18. Support Request Reader

    Multiple services can be separated in a subscription by RBAC controls to ensure users/developers of one services resources cannot access another. However support tickets are a subscription wide function which does not fit these controls. Presently all users of a subscription can see, access and amend each others tickets. The suggestion is to bring RBAC controls into subscription support requests so the same separation can be applied to support requests as is applied to Resource Groups and resources to keep different services in a subscription truly separated.

  20. Azure should block UDP attacks before they reach Azure (at Azure's IXC)

    Here is a summary of my anti-DDoS UDP at Azure’s IXC neighbors process:

    This is intended for Azure customers who have Web and other TCP services running on their instances and who wish to block all DDoS UDP attacks. Azure can also use this for the Azure Web hosting solution offering. The solution will block all UDP traffic, for example all DRDoS UDP attacks and DDoS UDP attacks.

    Azure would pre-allocate a large block IP address space, for example 100.0.0.0/17 depending on how many customers you think will opt in.
    When your customers obtain a public IP address, they have…
