  2. Simplify Azure DNS Integration with On-prem for Private endpoints

At the moment if you want to use an internal DNS service for your on-prem, and potentially IaaS, workloads that is able to link up the Azure DNS/Private DNS Zones for a Vnet to resolve names for Private Endpoint resources you have to deploy and manage IaaS instances with appropriate software/configuration to perform DNS forwarding to the Azure DNS service (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/private-link/private-endpoint-dns).

It would be far simpler to consume these services if there were some more direct "first class" mechanisms for providing this of integration e.g.

    1) Provide the Azure DNS service for a Vnet with a Private Endpoint …

  3. Azure Cost Management connector in Power BI Desktop

Make it available to choose scope in the form of subscription, and also make it possible to use incremental refresh. For a certain use case no when building a report with azure costs for a subscription it means pulling data for the last 6 months for the whole account, then filtering out the data for a specific subscription. It then pulls all the historical data when most transaction data does not change so you would only need to pull the last few days for a selected scope which is a a few Mb at most compared to several GB the…

  4. Action Group should be scoped to the subscription

We have developed an integration for App Insight sourced alerts to call a function via an action group to promote those to our On Prem Event Mgt platform. We need this action group to be globally available across all subscriptions and all resource groups

  5. Azure Data Factory and Oracle Autonomous Database

With Oracle Autonomous Database, host, port and SID/Service name are not enough to create a connection within ADF. We need to have an option to use the "Wallet" file provided by Oracle, so the connection runs successfully, as you can see in Oracle's docs: https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Database/Tasks/adbconnecting.htm

  7. Eventhub infinite retention just like Confluent Project Metamorphosis

    Infinite retention would allow:

Reading historical and real time at the same time.
Allow event based architectures for OLAP and OLTP
Single source of truth for OLAP and OLTP
No need data lake anymore (in some scenarios)

  10. Allow http/https on one listener, rule, settings etc. in Application Gateway

When configuring Application Gateway, everything needs to be done twice for HTTP then HTTPS. Given nearly every site uses both having to configure two separate listeners, rules, backends and health probes for each and every URL is immensely tedious.

  12. Generate Japanese transcription with related text files when using Custom Speech

Currently, after using Katakana in the related text files to train a Custom Speech model, if generate transcription from audio files with this custom model, some Katakana in the related text files won't be generated as expected.
    e.g.
Use Katakana below to train a custom model.
    ソラ

Then, if we use the trained model to generate transcription from an audio file which contains "ソラ", "空" will be generated, instead of "ソラ".

But in some use cases, "ソラ" maybe a brand name or anything else technical terms. We expect to get “ソラ” with the trained custom model.
    So, please consider improving…

  13. MACC PERCENTAGE VIEW WITHIN EA PORTAL

Today, the MACC should basically be controlled by partner and client completely manually, however, this is fixed in CPS. We understand that it would make sense to have a vision to be consulted of what percentage remains to reach the MACC within the EA Portal itself, for greater control in order to mitigate any problems at the end of the contract regarding the stipulated commitment.

  14. New dynamic security group based on strong authentication status

    Hi,

Currently I can't see this available as a feature in azure directly and after some googling I'm not the only one I'd like to be able to create an dynamic azure security group based on users who have strong authentication enabled on their Microsoft account.

The only solution I have for this is creating an on premise PowerShell script to run regularly and query msol to check if the user has strong auth enabled and add / remove from a local security group based on this. There's a number of reasons why this is less than ideal but currently…

  15. App Service with Private End Point should also allow public access

If you add a Private End Point to Azure SQL, you can still allow limited access through the public IP, should you so wish. This can be useful, for example, for allowing support or reporting access without a VPN (and VPN with Private End Point requires custom DNS servers, so you'd usually want to avoid that).
If you add a Private End Point to an App Service it will always block all access from the public IP. The biggest negative impact of this is that you can't automate deployments from AzDO or elsewhere. The workaround is to create a VM…

  16. A sign-out option for Static Web App to clear the valid single sign-in session with the Microsoft identity platform.

Right now, after the user signed out and then the user tries to sign-in again, the user gets reauthenticated to the application without entering their credentials. I think it is because the user still has a valid single sign-in session with the Microsoft identity platform.

  17. SSDT Partition Data Compression Merge

    Scenario:

A table in SSDT Source Control compressed using Page or Row compression on its schema and its indexes.

That table then partitioned using any type of partition key and any number of partitions

Customers partition maintenance job runs to create extra partitions

    Result:
It has been confirmed by microsoft support that SSDT and SQL servers algorithms for determining schemas is different. Because of this if we have a table schema in SSDT that specifies DATA_COMPRESSION=PAGE (inferring on all partitions)

SQL Server actually sees this as DATACOMPRESSION=PAGE ON PARTITIONS (1), DATACOMPRESSION=PAGE ON PARTITIONS (2) etc for how many…

  19. Markup to marketplace items

Cloud service providers of SCE / EA / EAS customers have the problem of the price of Marketplace services not reflecting with markup applied, as shown in the attached image.

We suggest that the markup is also reflected in the Marketplace so that service providers and cloud providers do not suffer losses.

  20. Add Cost Management service to trusted Microsoft services for firewall enablement

We are currently sending cost management exports to an Azure storage account, and the firewall can not be enabled as it will block this export. Please include this as a trusted Microsoft service or as a service tag so this can be enabled.
