I have an app Service in Azure that contains some folders and files.
There is a user who has to upload some files to an isolated folder or drive that my app can reach. He has to upload them via ftp.
I like to limit the users access to only one folder or a specific drive that my app service can reach.12 votes
Hypervisor and Virtual Machine (VM) Status Check Metrics similar to what is provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS)
We also use Amazon Web Services and looking for metrics in Azure similar to the status checks which you can find here.
As these allow us to monitor for problems such as the following and deal with them using automated runbooks or scale out our hardware :-
- Loss of network connectivity
- Loss of system power
- Software issues on the physical host
- Hardware issues on the physical host that impact network reachability
- Failed system status checks
- Incorrect networking or startup configuration
- Exhausted memory
- Corrupted file system
- Incompatible kernel12 votes

Adding certificate support in Pricing Tier D1. HTTPS connections are blocked with user-define domains
There are more and more browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome with HTTPS Everywhere Plugin) that get HTTPS when connecting to a website. These customers then receive an error message (SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN). The reason is because the browser receives the domain azurewebsites. net as a response from the server and not my domain names. The certificate error messages can no longer be skipped in the newer browser versions. These customers will never come to the website.12 votes

The process for capturing VM image and restoring it is much more easier on the classic portal than on the Azure portal. Is there any possibility similar functionality to be added on the new portal?11 votes
Why wasn't user domain logins one of the first things added to Azure MFA Server? That makes the most sense. I mean seriously. I understand application 2FA but user login without 2FA is an even higher security risk.11 votes
This was declined in 2014 for some reason, but Azure would improve more if each user can vote more than 3.3 times.11 votes

Provide ability to download an SSL certificate from the key vault for use in other services (e.g. Azure API Management which only accepts uploaded certs).11 votes
Concurrently, we can allocate Static Private Address space for all VPN Client (using SSL VPN) via our On-Premise network.
Since Azure offers P2S solution as VPN Client access, there is no configuration where we can do the same as with On-Premise network.
Though it is very much efficient if P2S can be further modify to allow us more control over IP allocation as we can do the same via On-Premise VPN Client, hoping that this solution can be look upon by your Product Team.11 votes

When we re-size VM in Azure portal, As soon as we select the new VM Size it starts resizing. Ideally it should give a confirmation pop-up to confirm the resizing to be done. As it can lead to the accidentally resizing of the VM. ( It happened in my case). So i request MS to add the confirmation pop up before the actual resizing should start.10 votes
Currently only operations on resources provide partial OData query syntax to filter results (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn790569.aspx#bk_common).
Why not using $filter, $top, etc. on all REST APIs?
For example if I want to get information on every VMs with a name starting with 'foo-' I would like to do a List all VMs operation (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/mt163572.aspx) with a $filter=startswith(name, 'foo-')10 votes

We wanna backup all our current azure DNS Zones. But currently only Azure Standard format is supported. that means there no solution to allow us to backup these zones/record in to the format of BIND. As Azure support import zones by the format of BING, but not export. this is quite incovenient for our such large amouns of DNS zones. plz review this proposal.10 votes
