I am new to Azure for the past six months and recently we were migrating our mission critical app ecosystem up to Azure. Over the course of two weeks we had to migrate 5 DNSs and still 2 More DNS to go to Azure Front Door. The SSL provisioning process, IMO has been the most inefficient process so far. WHile in the 6 months i could make arguments about other lengthy save times and other issues. The SSL provisioning is ranging from 15 -90 mins for us, and MS Support said up to 2 hours. I find 15 or 120 minutes of downtime is unacceptable. Our Ecosystem is ran 24x7 for ambulance services. We would even pay for a premium cost to migrate without delay. A couple of the DNS, we are migrating multiple times due to failures so this is hours and hours upon downtime for our customers and loss of revenue/reputation for our organization. I am not sure of the architecture, but if these provisioning deployments are grouped with other non critical deployments, or you dont segregate non prod vs prod. I would like to believe that there is a better way to go about this. The inefficiency will play a determining factor whether we move additional components to azure.

Enable the "Extension" feature for Linux App Services.
More specifically, I need the "Dynatrace Extension" to install OneAgent and monitor my Linux App Services just like I do my Windows App Services.
Thank you.21 votes

Implement more ITSM Connector Australian availability regions. Currently we are only able to deploy ITSM Connector to Log Analytic Workspaces within Australia Southeast.
As a large organisation bound by data sovereignty and our existing network design, we cannot utilise this service in regions outside of Australia. As a large organisation we need to be able to implement DR strategies for the services we use.
ITSM Connector is a direct path and simplifies our design requirements but as it does not meet our availability requirements, we cannot use it. Please look into more regions for ITSM connector within Australia.21 votes
Right now, only the account administrator can access PDF invoices within Azure Germany.
This Microsoft article describes in detail how to enable access to monthly PDF invoices for additional users/groups:
But according to a statement from a Microsoft customer support engineer, this is not available for Azure Germany.
Why is that?20 votes
Chile is a growing market. Google has a data center here and the communications infrastructure for the cities is good. If you build it they will come ! the Internet providers here still charge a premium for international traffic, ignoring the fact that they are thieves, I believe a having Azure/Office 365 presence in Chile would generate interest in the service. We are testing n Brazil, but the lack of some services and the use of international traffic is a big problem for our plans.. We are a Gold Partner interested in migrating an existing online service to Azure but unable to due to these limitations.

First of all: Managed Open is active in our infrastructure.
All Microsoft apps are located in the business container on the iOS device.
It is currently not possible to back up the account information of the "Authenticator" app.
iCloud does not work due to Managed Open in (private container) and OnDrive is not available.
I am aware that you want to prevent business data from being backed up in a private area, but if the Authenticator App and OnDrive App are both in the business container, the account information can be saved in the business OneDrive account.20 votes
If you use Azure File Services as an alternative to a file server, it would be very useful to have a replication mechanism like DFS-R.19 votes
If you have multiple Azure Websites or Azure Roles provisioned, you might want them to share configuration details, for example about databases or storage account locations.
I would like Azure to have a something like, "Azure Shared Configuration", that you can point applications to (so, I guess there's that) and receive whatever settings they need.19 votes
When we deleted a security principal that had a role assignment, the security principal will be listed as Identity not found and an Unknown type.
Even if it doesn't a problem to leave those role assignments where the security principal has been deleted, but it was not used anymore and no longer useful. It also made a mess of space for handling role assignments.
So, it would be nice if the service principal and role assignment will be deleted together to reduces the number of manual processes and saves more time.22 votes
Allow Customers the ability to see the allocated workers from the client side, as well as which workers get into bad instances.
At the moment, customers are unable to see which of their workers are assigned to bad instances from the Azure Portal. In order to know this very valuable information, they have to contact Azure Support Staff, and be in close contact with them every time they make any updates, or restart their application to see if things are going correctly.
As workers are incredibly important, they are basically the backbone of function apps, I propose that we make it so that customers have the ability to see which workers are allocated to their app services.19 votes
continuously using webjobs and constitute a WEBJOBSSHUTDOWNFILE.
When Azure maintenance occurs, it stops before the file is deployed, even though you have configured WEBJOBSSHUTDOWNFILE.
Please consider our request that files, such as WEBJOBSSHUTDOWNFILE, should be placed before shutdown the server.19 votes
There is currently no indication as to which regions have low or high capacity.
This makes reacting to regional capacity problems almost impossible. Its not possible for me to migrate my workloads via ASR into a new region as I'm not certain the new region has the capacity for my VMs.
Allow for a Red, Yellow and Green traffic light system to allow customers to see which regions have available capacity.19 votes

We would love to migrate to Azure Database for MySQL Flexible Server from normal VM, especially because of the backup implementation. The only thing stopping us is the fact that there is no support for MySQL 8 as we are using some features of version 8 for better performance.18 votes

Azure USGov doesn't have a system status page, and I know I'll need one.
Here's the AWS page for comparison:
when a server shuts down unintentionally due to a host outage, please notify all customers affected.
Currently MS Azure notifies customers during scheduled outages, however, in the event of an emergency outage, where a customer's server is rebooted, (due to a host hardware failure, or whatever), all customers affected should be notified as a courtesy. We had an outage and had our services not started currently due to a password issues, we would have known that the server went down.17 votes
