  2. Cortana AAD sign on is broken when PC is joined to local domain.

When a PC is joined to local AD and AAD Cortana can not sign in using AAD credentials. Appears to be associated with recently requested change of Sync My Settings options.

  3. allow DLP Policies for ALL subscription models

Data Loss Protection is such an important issue that it should be rolled out to all subscribers.

This will reinforce security at home and work while helping companies to comply with relevant regulations.

  6. sweden

    Provide Azure region in Scandinavia

A lot of companies and governments in Sweden demand that their data is physically stored in the country. By not having an Azure data center there prevents a lot of applications and services for the Swedish market to be hosted in Azure.
Amazon is now realizing this and puts up 3 datacenters in the middle of Sweden.
Sweden has alot of good qualities, like cheaper cooling because of the weather as well as alot of good technical personell availiable, and putting up a scandinavian region, would make it much better for all scandinavian countries, because…

  7. Using availability sets with multiple fault and fail domains still DOESN'T give you fault tolerance!

If you happened to create both VMs under the same storage account, it will NOT be as highly available as it should. Make it clear, in the portal, that you really should be using two or more storage accounts and not rely on Azure's 'supposed' fault tolerance with 3 local data copies. We've experienced several incidents in the last month related to this, where we lost both nodes due to a storage account failure.

In short, make it really clear what needs to be done to REALLY have fault tolerance.

  8. deallocated database

A web application was loaded with a standard database.
The application is not in use right now so it was stopped.
The database continues to consume and apparently can not be stopped to avoid consumption.
It would be very helpful to be able to stop the database at some point if the web application is not used

  10. Better mail infrastructure?

I suggest you put more money into your mail infrastructure since an automated mail when forgetting my password takes ~25 minutes whereas a response from @AzureSupport takes barely 2 minutes!

  12. longer trial period. AWS gives a YEAR. Why would I not chose AWS over azure to start out? I wouldn't, trial isn't long enough.

People need more time. I work 12hr days programming and don't have a lot of extra time to get used to azure. The ONE day in this trial period I did use it, I found it easy and liked it. Unfortunately, with my limited time to use it, my "trail" runs out tomorrow. I'll be going with AWS.

  13. Will the NAT ip changed on the Azure public peering

I have just enabled public peering on my ExpressRoute and have a question about the source NAT. I have been able to determine that the source IP address from which our connections appear to originate is 104.209.104.114, when connecting to Azure public services via the ExpressRoute. This address is not assigned to us by our ISP or ExpressRoute provider (in fact they can't explain where it comes from), so I assume it is assigned by MS? I opened a case about this ages ago (case 116100614763629) and the response seemed to confirm that the connection does indeed get double-NAT'd by…

  15. Internal As a Service DNS

On Azure, the internal Active Directory server's DNS service must be served as a service. In this way, only the Active Directory feature is enabled on the server. Having no DNS on the server allows the server to run more efficiently.

  19. Provide list of SKUs for resource type through Azure REST API

While provisioning resources using Azure REST APIs. One of the required thing is SKU. We have no API that provides list of available SKUs (if applicable) for provided resource type.

We badly need this as there is no way to get always up to date list of SKU.

  20. These Ideas Could be Part of Microsoft Artificial Intelligence Roadmap

Microsoft has been steadily growing into one of the powerhouses of the modern artificial intelligence(AI) and machine learning(ML) ecosystems. With fierce competition from companies such as Amazon, IBM, Google or Faceboof heating up, innovation and rapid iteration are essential for Microsoft to maintain its leadership position in the space.
In this post, I would like to discuss some ideas that might be relevant to the short-term roadmap of Microsoft’s AI-ML technologies. The ideas explored here are a combination of market requirements, capabilities that can fill a gap with the competition as well as natural evolutionary steps for the Microsoft AI-ML…
