  2. Provide an SLA for decommissioning resources OR Cease charging once removal of resouce group requested

Getting charged when deleting my resource group took fifteen minutes feels like a kick in the teeth. This maybe a rare occurrence however the implications are not small. Imagine a machine that costs a lot per hour, and then imagine being billed more time than you had using the resources...

  3. The dialogue for daily recurring alert suppression action rule is confusing

Create a new daily recurrence config that allows you to specify start and end times only. And adjusts for any daylight savings that may occur.

The current dialogue is confusing and doesn't warn you if you set an start or end date when daylight savings is observed it will silently adjust the time.

Example: If you set the end date time as 28th of March 2021 07:00 am UK, the actual end time will be 06:00 am because the UK begins observing Daylight savings time at 1 am on the 28th of March 2021. The dialogue will continue to appear…

  4. I have a VM with centOS operating system,In /mnt/resource showing some 30gb data

I didn't find the application data on the "/mnt/resource" path after started the VM today. As per microsoft its a temporary disk and after restarting the we will loose the data,My question if its temporary disk then why it is showing better not to keep something as temporaray disk,Its E8sV3 instance series with linux OS

Please figure out why this has happened and let us know how to recover if possible. There was more than 25 GB data I transferred from TCL servers to this VM and that took me almost a week.

Please figure out why this has happened and…

  5. Stop or sent warnings when VM's are in stopped but not deallocated state

Computers in stopped state (not deallocated) happens if you shut it down inside of the computer insted of from the Azure console. The cost for this resource are billed as 100% running, even though no CPU, memory etc. are used. The only thing that will be a cost for Microsoft is if there is a public IP address assigned that will not be released before the machine is deallocated.

The billing should be for the IP only if that's the case, and/or there should be an automatic deallocation or warning sent, not only in the VM's page. Are now using…

  9. Walk through first Azure invoice for new clients to understand billing

It took us 5 months to identify the source of a billing item that we did not expect related to SQL Reserved Instances. A simple walk through of our first invoice with a knowledgeable billing associate would have prevented countless hours of effort from our end AND the Microsoft technical support team.

  10. Enable Privilege Identity Management Access review for management group scope

Currently there is no option to create access review in Azure PIM for Management group scope. It definitely should be on place same as for Subscriptions

  11. Azure data factory tumbling window trigger cancel past executions

We have a requirement to use tumbling window trigger because of the retry policy but our prod deployment will happen after 1 month of dev deployment and we don't want to manually kill these 30 execution in production because of the functionality of tumbling window trigger to run those missed days. Is there a way we can avoid this?

  12. - adjust SSO Application to allow more AD claims

    • adjust SSO SAML Application AD claims to allow adding group Claim to send specific AD groups not assigned to application ( EX : we need to send in Group Claim All AD groups started with " vf-vodafone-group-finx "

    • Adjust AD claims in Oauth2 SSO integrations to allow adding synch attributes like user.telephone and user.samaccount.... like AD attributes in SAML SSO integrations

  16. update product description

The information presented at the URI "https://portal.azure.com/?MicrosoftAzureEducationcorrelationId=4010d9b1-cff5-4346-8376-502131027b96#blade/MicrosoftAzure_Education/EducationMenuBlade/software"; for Windows Server 2019 Datacenter (updated Sept 2019) is incorrect.

The product description for both Windows Server 2019 Datacenter (updated Sept 2019) and Windows Server 2019 Standard (updated Sept 2019) are identical; both describe the Windows Server 2019 Standard (updated Sept 2019) release.

  17. Azure Resource Lists should indicate if any resource is related to another one

This is a general feedback applied to a situation I had: some time ago I created a Jupyter Notebook and this operation created 3 more resources, besides the Notebook itself, related with the Notebook. It would be good if the Azure interface has an extra column indicating which "parent resource" the current resource is related to; in the attached file you can find a screenshot with a suggestion

  18. Azure File Share support of Ubuntu Desktop 18.04+

As a devops engineer, I need to be able to test remote cifs/smb mounting. Azure storage seemed like a good solution however it requires Ubuntu Server to mount anything.

  19. Ability to export / download from Shared Image Gallery

Just discovered you cannot export / download the image to a VHD / Managed Image / Snapshot / blob.

This is particularly painful because we have a library of images in the Shared Image Gallery, but we cannot extract any of them for use by another tenant.

We had to resort to very cumbersome process documented here to create an App registration in order to share the identity (using RBAC) between multiple tenants.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/windows/share-images-across-tenants

Unfortunately, documentation does not clarify this limitation.

Part of our workaround is having to re-create the image in the other tenant, which is not ideal given…

  20. Any subscription requiring cost should be displayed clearly, experience of moving from free to pay as you go was very bad. No warnings.

The email tells you can move to pay as you go without any cost, when I clicked on that link and moved to pay as you go, I was charged upfront and without any notification. You should stop this practice immediately and make it more transpartent. This gave me an impression that I will never be able to rely on your commitments.

The process to change subscription also required two steps and was difficult to read. Its not good from accessibility point of view (difficult to read text)
