1. to reduce minimum DNS Time-to-Live (TTL) in Traffic Manager

If product team could reduce the the DNS Time-to-Live near real time, it would be amazing feature to use.
Right now the minimum time is 30seconds which is too long for a fail over fallback

3. Improve Azure Scheduler to handle many schedules to a single job.

Here is a real situation that is not well covered by the current Azure Scheduler.

I am writing an application that deals with weekly selective lotteries (lotteries where you select n number from m). Typically the draw of this type lottery happen once or twice a week. My application monitors absolutely all the existing lotteries in a given country. It will cover the countries of US and Canada initially. The type of lottery I am talking about is managed at the state level (province level in Canada). The US has 50 states and Canada has 10 province. Each state or…

under review · Kevin Lam responded

Thank you for your feedback. A Scheduler job is defined as an Action with a scheduled recurrence. If you want an action to fire at multiple different schedules then you would need multiple jobs. That being said, it is possible to create a complex schedule on a job that may satisfy your needs. For example, if you have a lottery drawing that occurs twice a week on Monday and Friday at 10:00pm you can create a single complex schedule that would fire at those times.
Also note that you can create up to 500 Standard jobs before exceeding a single Standard unit cost of $13.99.

Thanks,
Kevin

4. virtual servers disks Capacity Alerts

The virtual servers don´t have a Capacity Alert for individual disks in different virtual servers . Only have alerts for Storage Accounts.

5. Require all resources be exportable to application resource templates.

Currently there are resource types (application gateway for example) that cannot be exported to resource templates.

Azure needs a policy that if something is going to be offered, it must be exportable and cannot be released until it is.

7. Disabled subscription on Microsoft Azure

In case of disabled subscription (for a resources group) is impossible by the user to re-enable or change the subscription. There aren't a button into the Azure portal. Is necessary open a support request and wait for the response. I think is easier to have the capability of switch a subscription to another one autonomously from the Microsoft Azure we page.

8. Be able to check if an Actor exists in the Service Fabric

When an Actor ID comes from an API endpoint, calling the Actor might result in creating a new Actor (when it doesn't exist) while this was not needed/wanted. It would be nice to be able to check if an Actor exists.

I'm not sure how the Actor framework works internally, but I think internal it has an IReliableDictionary so a Key lookup should be easy?

10. Enhance your password policy options in Azure B2C

The password policy options need to be enhanced. Specifically, we need to be able to prevent user from re-using one of his recent passwords. This feature is REQUIRED by financial and credit institutions we deal with.

11. We need to have the feature AllowGateway transit and use remote gateway option for 2 peered Vnet in 2 different regions

As I can see AllowGatewayTransit and UseRemoteGateways options are currently not supported when both peered virtual networks are in different region

12. Add ability to virus scan a stream

Azure must offer the ability to virus scan a stream. Not a file. Due to corporate security requirements, files cannot be saved without being encrypted.

13. Use Azure service principal for authentication to storage, instead of account key

At the moment, it is a bit complicated to use the CLI to upload files to Azure storage.

First you need to login to Azure:

az login --service-principal --username $USERNAME --password $PASSWORD --tenant $TENANT

Then you need to retrieve the keys for the storage account:

az storage account keys list --account-name $STORAGEACCOUNTNAME --resource-group $RESOURCE_GROUP

Then you have to parse the result and retrieve the keys.

Then you can use the keys to upload some files:

az storage blob upload-batch --account-name $STORAGEACCOUNTNAME --account-key $STORAGEACCOUNTKEY --destination /css --source /css --pattern '*.css' --content-type text/css"

Why can't I…

14. Not allow windows to use cached credentials when a azure AD password is expired

Ran into an issue where we implemented a password policy at a client and found that even after passwords had expired, users were still able to log into their Azure AD joined machines. If Azure AD knows the password is expired, it should not allow the use of cached credentials to sign in. In order to lock expired passwords, we had to write a script that looks for passwords that are expired and disables the associated accounts so that users can not continue to use their old cached credentials to access their machines or other applications. We had some issues…

The ease in which we can increase disk space should be the same for reducing disk space.

19. request new feature: alerts for extensions/agents in VMSS

One of my customer want to proactively monitor the status of Guest Agent and Extensions on VM within VMSS. For example, we may set alert when heartbeat is lost or the extension status go to failed.

20. Map Azure File share as volume to Web App for Containers

We want to host some web applications in Azure Web App for containers and need to have an external volume mapped to the container. The volume would store the configuration files of the applications, which are java applications that rely rely heavily on big configuration files.

These are legacy applications and cannot easily be changed to start using App Service preferred method of Application Settings.

Since Web Apps for Containers seem to rely on "docker run", it seems allowing it to run also other commands like "docker volume create" could be possible.
