  3. Billing calculation

I have a cx wehre he complains about his billing, from the document below I see that first 5 GB data out is free and then after its being charged. The most confusing part for me here in the same document is, it says the data transfers with in a region is free and if with in a zone the charge might have been fine, but cx has everything with in a region here but his invoice says zone1 and not a region and is being charged!!

    https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/bandwidth/

Inbound data is free if no availability zone.
    Outbound data transfers

  7. Fix the issue with NPM Install for long path

    Hi,

On https://portal.azure.com, in "deployment options" I configured to build automatically the WebApp on Azure.
Each time, the npm install command run, but I have an error:
    npm ERR! path D:\home\site\repository\src\client\nodemodules.staging\npm-d4c06741\nodemodules\libnpmhook\nodemodules\npm-registry-fetch\nodemodules\make-fetch-happen\nodemodules\http-proxy-agent\nodemodules\agent-base\nodemodules\es6-promisify\nodemodules\es6-promise

    npm ERR! syscall rename
npm ERR! The problem is due to a too long path which is not supported by Azure.

I suggest you to fix this issue or explain how to run npm install without having…

  9. Allow MFA on-prem to send out Bulk test authentications.

Similar to a phishing campaign, I would think it would be valuable to see how your user's would respond to an unknown MFA authentication attempt. So we would like to send out "Test authentications" to our users and see how they would respond, so we could properly educate those users who just blindly accept MFA challenges. We can currently do this manually, but if there was a way to automate this with a list of 100+ names it would save time and improve our security posture.

  10. Fix a bug with Job Scheduler's Oauth

There is a bug in the Job Scheduler UI when editing a job that uses a previously-saved call requiring oauth. In that case, any change to the Action Settings or the Schedule times triggers an error - that the Audience is wrong. Regardless of what value was previously saved for Audience, the Audience errors like it's trying to save https://management.core.windows.net/ Even if oauth settings are not currently being edited. If editing an Action Setting, this is fixable, as you can just go in to the Audience and re-enter the correct Action and save that with your current changes. However, for…

  12. Stop sending emails that look like phishing attempts

When I receive Azure emails, they often look exactly how I would craft a phishing email if I were a black hat. Here is an example of an email I received today.

    https://www.screencast.com/t/eVWPHUi6b

If you are unable (or unwilling) to click my link, the email says, "Azure Advisor has recommendations waiting for you..." and an HTML link hidden by text that says, "View my recommendations" which is presumably a link to the portal.

I just delete emails like this because it looks like a phishing attempt. By emailing calls to action that are just links to the azure portal hidden…

  13. Encrypting OS/Root volume and Datadisk volume of vm's spun up from custom images.

It's not idea, it's more of like a business need to implement. Encrypting volumes from marketplace images is great but it would be even useful if we can encrypt volumes if instance that is spun up from custom image. For lot of industries like telecom, health etc to maintain infrastructure up and running all time and to holding lot of sensitive data taking custom images is also critical part

  16. Tags for RG $system and others

There are some resources that are being created outside of customer's control under the RGs called $System and others. As per the public documentation, this cannot be tagged. Tags are useful for billing purposes and having them tagged would help to make the billing processes efficient inside any company that works on this way.

Being able to tag this resources would be helpful.

  17. Assign 'Function' using dynamic service plan to existing resource group

It's currently only possible to assign an azure function to an existing resource group when using a classic service plan. When using a dynamic plan a new resource group must be created.

  18. Small biz doesn't have 20 users. Begins with one traveler. Paying for 20? No.

Provide clear pricing. Does the price shown include 20 users or is it the price shown X 20?

  19. Add default forwarders to DNS in Azure AD Domain Services

With our newly deployed Azure AD Domain Services, our DNS resolution was very poor. When looking around in DNS, I noticed there were no forwarders by default. After adding those our performance issues were resolved. It would be nice if there were some forwarders added by default so users don't need to worry about adding them.

  20. use higher contrast colors to make the text more accessible to read. I have a low vision condition and I am struggling to read the text.

MSDN documentation is a critical resource for developers both within and outside Microsoft and it is very important to make it accessible to folks with low-vision such as myself. Right now, I see that the Azure SDK documentation uses grey and light blue text fonts on a white background and I am struggling to read the text, which severely affects my productivity as a developer. Please consider choosing colors that provide a greater contrast. These pages don't need to look pretty. They need to be easily readable by a diverse set of developers.

    Thank you.
