  1. Simplify Private Endpoint DNS resolution from on-premises

Currently to access a storage account with private endpoints, one must do the following to achieve a simple DNS resolution from on-premise machines (across VPN/ExpressRoute):

    1. Create DNS proxy VMs to forward DNS traffic to Azure DNS server 168.63.129.16

    2. Setup DNS forwarding on on-prem DNS to forward traffic to the DNS proxy VM in step #1.

    3. Azure DNS entries will have to be manually updated if any Private Endpoint is changed/removed/re-created.

A workaround is to simply create a hosts file entry for the storage account name on the local on-premise machine, but this does not work well with Azure Storage Explorer,…

  2. Support for rate limiting for user provisioning from Azure (SCIM)

Azure currently does not support rate limiting when using SCIM to provision the users to target applications.

429 status codes are counted as errors and retry-after headers are simply ignored. When dealing with a single service that receives all these requests from different Azure applications all trying to provision their user base, the load quickly becomes too much. There needs to be a way to control how these requests are dealt with and let Azure know that it should stop sending requests the server can't process.

If we have a 100 customers all using Azure to provision their users to…

  3. Azure Tables Index

Please add indexing capabilities to azure tables. Adding multiple rows for the same data is a poor hack. Azure cognitive search is outrageously expensive. Thanks for reading, and I really hope you will consider adding indexes to azure tables...

  4. XueGao@microsoft.com

Will Application Insights connector re-enable again?
I found https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/log-query/unify-app-resource-data#next-steps mentioned the Application Insights connector just abandoned, then it can't generate the Application Insights table in Log Analytics worspace.
After that, it's inconvenient for us to manage and check multiple Application Insights data in one workspace.

Please help verify if this functionality will re-enable.
    Thanks!

  6. Local time in sign in report download

Can you please add the possibility to download Sign in reports with Local Time instead of UTC. We have multiple customer complaining about the usage of those reports when it comes to time column.

It is essential for visibility, when reviewing cyber-security reports and logs, to have local time easy to reach with the eyes.

This can also be generalized to other kinds of logs.

    Thanks.

  7. Allow Azure portal to create VM with Accelerated Networking from Azure Custom image

Allow Azure portal to create VM with Accelerated Networking from Azure Custom image
    Reference : 119111526002704
We can only create VM with Accelerated Networking enabled from Azure custom image using CLI/Powershell and ARM Template. It is not possible to do via portal as the Accelerated Networking options is always grayed out.

  8. Being able to restore a VM backup from one subscription/resource group to another subscription/resource group.

You should be able to clone a resource group from one subscription and restore a copy into another subscription.
Example : You create a resource group that is a dev resource group to get a proof of concept that is in your MSDN subscription. Once you work out all the kinks and verify the proof of concept, you then want to clone that whole resource group into a production resource group inside a production subscription.

  9. Azure Lighthouse - Use all groups as Management Group: not only security-enabled

As per today, Azure Lighthouse support Managements Group that are only security-enabled. I just tried to use a Cloud Group automatically created with Microsoft Teams but I got this error: "Only security-enabled groups can be used in role assignments".

Be able to use also MS Teams group, would allow to have a better and easier governance on the users/tecnician, as adding or removing an user directly from Teams, would also change the access to our customers. Not considering aswell the possiblity to share cases, best practices, using Teams tooling for team management, etc in Teams itself.

  10. Get-AzVM does not return the correct ComputerName from the console if the host name was changed

In the VM portal the Computer Name is taken from the host name of the machine.

If you update the host name, the portal will reflect this under "Computer Name" - but querying this via Get-AzVM does not update, if you use OSProfile.ComputerName it still uses the old name

  11. Service Account on all azuread machines to allow vulnerability scanning

    Suggested Improvement to AzureAD.

All windows 10 device joined to AzureAD I need a quick solution to add an AD service account to each local machine with local admin rights so each computer can be scanned. Account can be enabled and disabled network wide. Doesn't seem to be easy to achieve on a large number of machines,

    Thanks

    Paul

  14. Deploye an Executable (.EXE) developed in C++ in SaaS environment.

We have our application which is an executable (.EXE) file written using C++ and this application will run in background as a service. Even in your document https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/overview it is mention as “PowerShell and other scripts or executables as background services.” We will not be developing or writing as a Web App in C++.

To be precise what exactly the above executable (.EXE) will do is as follows.
This native application (.EXE) which is a TCP based server Application and runs on Windows server as a service. It also make use of registry and windows vault for the server configuration.…

  15. Within Azure AD Devices-All Devices, Make "Download" an option

When creating Conditional Access policies it is impossible to get a report from Azure or PowerShell that list all devices that are in a "Pending" state in the Registered column.
There should be an option to download everything in Azure AD Devices-All Devices to a csv file and include the device ID and the Registered state. This would help to find all devices that would fail Conditional Access policies requiring a registered device be used.

  16. Azure support grammer

When filing a new support request I noticed that when it's asking some of the questions one of them says: "When did you first noticed the problem?" when it should say "When did you first notice the problem?"

It's a minor grammatical issue, but we should be professional.

  18. Creating Access Review date picker

If you see the date picker, it doesn't allow to select Next year while clicking on the year section. Rather, I have to scroll through to the end to select the date. I guess, this is very basic feature expectation. Thanks.

  19. Enable Windows Hello for Business on AD (on-premise) Gateway to access AD RDP Servers using Key Trust

I want to enable Windows Hello for Business without using Federation to access my on-premise gateway and on-premise RDP servers from my Azure AD-joined PCs.

I found Microsoft Docs stating, "Microsoft continues to investigate supporting this feature for key trust deployments in a future release."

Also, I found it stated, "Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) does not support authentication with Windows Hello for Business key trust deployments. RDP is only supported with certificate trust deployments at this time."

Certificate trust deployments mean Federation. I don't want to federate. We use Pass Through Auth and have SSO working great. Please add Key…
